Report: Hillary, Chelsea To Start Entire Film Company To Push More Lies on American People

The Hollywood-to-politics pipeline usually only flows one way.

Sure, the Obamas had their deal with Netflix and Al Gore had “An Inconvenient Truth.” Beyond that, however, it’s usually media figures who enter politics, not the other way around.

But now that Hillary Rodham Clinton is neither holding higher office nor running for it, it looks like she and her daughter, Chelsea Clinton, are giving it a go in Tinseltown.

The mother and daughter are reportedly looking to start their own film and television production company revolving around women’s stories.

“The two have spoken to studios about financing a pipeline of programs, said people familiar with the matter. They would give a studio first crack at releasing the projects, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the discussions are at an early stage,” Bloomberg reported Thursday.

“The family hopes to use film and television to influence culture and society now that Hillary Clinton is out of politics. They plan to focus on stories by and about women. The production company is one of many potential business opportunities that Hillary Clinton, 71, is considering.”

Sources also confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the duo was “exploring the the idea.”

“Should the production company become a reality, it would not come as a total surprise. The former Democratic presidential candidate, secretary of state and one-time first lady dipped her toe in the entertainment industry in August when she signed on to executive produce ‘The Woman’s Hour,’ her first foray into television,” THR reported.

“That potential series will see Clinton team with Steven Spielberg for the Amblin TV-produced drama/limited series based on the book ‘The Woman’s Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote’ by Elaine Weiss. (Sources told THR that as Weiss was writing the book, she was struck by the parallels between the women’s suffrage movement and the 2016 presidential election between Donald Trump and Clinton and became determined to get the book into the latter’s hands.)”

Do you think this project will work out?

Yet more proof that flattery will still get you everywhere with the Clintons.

And I’m struck by the parallels, too. After all, Susan B. Anthony would have totally kept a private server in her bathroom to skirt federal record-keeping laws if she didn’t die nearly three decades before the first woman entered a presidential Cabinet and roughly a century before you could put a server in your bathroom. She was just that kind of suffragette.

Beyond this, I’m curious as to why the Clintons find that they need “to use film and television to influence culture and society” in a direction amenable to them when it basically already does.

In what way is the agenda of Hillary and Chelsea Clinton not properly represented in the media? Is the product being churned out of Hollywood somehow not representative of their values?

If they’re looking to be part of the entertainment industry’s “diversity push,” it’s worth noting they’re several years too late in jumping on a movement that may or may not want them, considering they’re two insanely privileged women — one of whom has what you might charitably call “baggage” when it comes to certain diversity issues — with absolutely no real experience in the entertainment industry who are expecting to be taken seriously because they have political clout.

But then, I don’t particularly think that’s the only motive behind the Clintons’ incipient production company.

As Winston Churchill once reportedly said, “History will be kind to me, for I intend to write it.”

Churchill, alas, was a good writer. I’ve read parts of two of Hillary Clinton’s books, “It Takes a Village” and “What Happened.”

I say parts because — well, when it comes to writing, I’d tell her not to quit her day job but I’m not so certain she has one anymore.

So, if you can’t really write in a way to induce the kindness of history to shine on you, what then?

Make movies. Make TV shows. After all, you can get people to do those for you.

I’m pretty sure this isn’t just about getting some easy cash or “us[ing] film and television to influence culture and society.” It’s about ensuring we all remember just how great the Clinton family really is.

This, I predict, will amount to little more than a propaganda mill for liberal ideas of a Clintonian bent.

Don’t be surprised if you see a goodly number of Hillary’s numerous lies somehow find their way into a work of putative entertainment.

Good luck on making that work as a business model, however. If I’m not mistaken, legacy-building was one of the aims of the 2016 election. We all remember how that one turned out.
