As Patreon De-Platforms Conservatives, It's Keeping Ultraviolent Accounts from Leftists
Patreon, a website that allows users to submit donations to independent content creators, has banned several right-of-center creators — while giving a pass to violent far-left extremists.
The most recent ban wave from Patreon targeted conservative content creators, including popular YouTuber Carl Benjamin, also known as Sargon of Akkad.
Benjamin was banned for using “hate speech” off the platform.
However, he used the offensive language in a debate against white supremacists to point out their absurd, racist characterizations of black people.
Benjamin was arguing against racism, but Patreon banned him anyway.
Meanwhile, the platform is a haven for real political extremists on the left.
Multiple far-left Patreon accounts call for “revolution” and refer to using weapons and violence, according to Far Left Watch.
One violent group, Red Guards Austin, called for a “bloody” revolution to oppose whoever it deems “fascist.”

“On the basis of our principled united front work, fascists and their collaborators can be drowned out, run out, routed, beaten bloody, and even annihilated. These are our principles and we aim to hold them to the very finish,” the Red Guards Austin wrote in a blog post.

Patreon is also tolerant of a far-left podcast host known as Dr. Bones, who said his goal was to “inspire insurrection,” according to another Far Left Watch report.

The far-left podcast host also suggested that debate doesn’t matter as long as you can “outshoot” your opponents.

Reminder: in the event of an actual insurrection, riot, or revolt, you do not have to out-debate your political opponents.

Patreon has yet to take action on his account and the separate account for his podcast.

This blatant political bias seems to be a trend among big tech companies.
Apple is another example. It vowed to take down “conspiracy theorists” and “hateful conduct” but seemed permissive of violent content from the left.
Big tech’s political bias is getting dangerous as it lets violent left-wing radical congregate and crowd-fund on its platforms while shutting down conservatives.
