Pastor Calls Vile LGBT Graffiti on Church 'Hate Toward Biblical Truth'

Share

Last week, New Life Assembly Church in Lima, Ohio, was vandalized with several pro-LGBT, anti-Christian buzzwords and slogans.

Some of the expressions spray-painted on the side of the building included “God is a woman and she is gay,” “Love is love,” “Pride,” “God is dead,” “All people are equal” and “Be kind.”

Nothing says “Be kind” like vandalizing the side of a church, right?

According to WLIO News, the church is currently being aided by the local police department, which has launched an investigation and deemed the vandalism a hate crime.

The Rev. Bob Wardle of New Life Assembly Church said of the transgression: “I just think it’s hate toward Biblical truth that the church is preaching.”

The actions of the vandals may have been triggered by a sign that was situated outside the church, which read, “The Rainbow: A promise of God, NOT a symbol of pride. ‘You shall not lie with a man as with a woman. It is an abomination. Leviticus 18:22.’”

According to The Lima News, Lucy Flowers — director of local school-based prevention programs that hosts LGBT support groups — had a staunch rebuttal to the church’s sign. “When you hear that so much, you internalize that inferiority, and you really start to believe those things about yourself, that you’re an abomination,” Flowers said.

She then said that messages against LGBT individuals are oppressive, adding that LGBT Christians often feel undeserving of love from their own place of worship.

“[They] internalize that ideology because they see it reflected in institutions,” she said. “They start to believe it about themselves.”

Are you tired of LGBT attacks on the Christian church?

Regardless of what anyone’s worldview is, destroying private property out of a difference in opinion is an affront to every American. And why haven’t these same groups vandalized any mosques? Islam isn’t an LGBT-friendly religion, to say the least.

The LGBT movement — which projects words such as “love,” “tolerance” and “acceptance” — has shown time and time again that its participants are incapable of acting out the same values they espouse and seem to have it out for Christians.

This is not an isolated incident, as Christians across America have been the target of politicians, LGBT advocates, the media and celebrities for years now.

In January, leftists targeted Second Lady Karen Pence for taking a part-time teaching position at a Christian school. The school required that instructors be born-again Christians and follow tenets of the faith — like defining “marriage” as a bond between one man and one woman, according to CBN.

In addition, prominent comedian Jim Carrey has been on a tirade against Sarah Sanders’ Christian faith, mocking her with original art pieces and saying she is a “so-called Christian whose only purpose in life is to lie for the wicked,” according to IndyStar.

Sadly, this is only the beginning of the left’s retaliation against the church, traditional marriage and Christianity as a whole.

What Jesus told his disciples 2,000 years ago can be directly applied to Christian warriors today. Matthew 10:16 reads: “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.”
