New Trump Ad Scorches Dems: "Complicit in Every Murder" by Illegals
A new ad from President Donald Trump excoriates Democrats who are standing in the way of his wall on the southern border, and it uses one of the most notorious criminals of recent years to make its point.
Luis Bracamontes, a 37-year-old illegal immigrant from Mexico, became an object lesson in the darkest side of illegal immigration during his trial for killing two northern California deputies, according to KSFN-TV.
Bracamontes is charged with murder in the deaths of Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputy Danny Oliver and Placer County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Davis Jr., who were fatally shot in separate incidents during a one-day period in October of 2014.
According to the Sacramento Bee, Bracamontes admitted the crimes in an outburst in front of the jury while the prosecution was giving its opening statement on Jan. 16. He told the courtroom he only wished he “had killed more of the m***********s.”
“I will break out soon and I will kill more, kill whoever gets in front of me,” Bracamontes added. “There’s no need for a f****** trial.”
“It’s pure evil,” the new ad, titled “Complicit” and released on Saturday, intones after the footage of Bracamontes is played.
“President Trump is right,” the ad continues.
“Build the wall. Deport criminals. Stop illegal immigration now.
“Democrats who stand in our way will be complicit in every murder committed by illegal immigrants.”
The ad was released by Trump’s team during the weekend’s government shutdown, during which Senate Democrats — aided by some RINOs — demanded an amnesty bill be tacked on to a spending resolution to keep the government open, including renewal of the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
That gambit failed, but the likelihood of Democrats acceding to funding the wall as part of DACA renewal seems like an uphill battle.
As The Weekly Standard notes, during negotiations over the shutdown, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer only “offered the president … an authorization for funding, not an appropriation,” Office of Management and Budget head Mick Mulvaney said.
That’s a key difference. “There was already authorization to build a wall on the southern border that Chuck Schumer voted for in 2006. It hasn’t been built because the money was never appropriated, it was never funded,” Mulvaney said.
In other words, Schumer’s offer was meaningless.
The new Trump strategy, apparently, is to tie Democrats to crimes committed by illegals. As a negotiating strategy goes, it’s a pretty scorching one — but it’s one that could yield results in a major way, especially with Luis Bracamontes in the news.
