Modeling Legend Fabio Goes on Tucker, Unloads on Democrat Leaders in California
As goes Fabio, so goes the country.
OK — that’s not actually a saying. But when even the famous male model and romance cover heartthrob is making more sense than liberals, you know something is wrong.
Fabio Lanzoni recently appeared on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” and unloaded on California liberals, pointing out that Democrat policies have begun to ruin the once-proud state.
“I’m telling you, California leaders, they totally destroyed the middle class in California,” the Italian-born actor and model declared. “The majority of California’s broken.”

He’s not wrong: The sunny West coast state where both Tucker and Fabio have lived has the highest poverty rate in America, after decades of liberal policies and rampant illegal immigration.
“I Can’t Believe It’s Not Better!” you might say.
Fabio quickly proved that he’s more than just a chiseled jaw, and dropped some key facts about his adopted home state.
“About 5,700 people pay almost 40 percent — 37 percent exactly — of the entire California income tax,” he explained.
The point was clear, even if Fabio’s accent wasn’t: California seems to be increasingly propped up by a relative few wealthy taxpayers, while a growing bottom class receives handouts and the middle class shrinks.
“It’s unbelievable!” Tucker responded.
“It’s broke,” Fabio summarized.
“Every single company is running away because of tax reasons,” he continued. “And including the movie industry. Every single movie (is shot) outside of California.”
It was a slight exaggeration, but mostly correct. According to The Wrap, more movies are made in Louisiana and Canada than in California these days.
“The numbers confirm what most people in California’s film and TV industry feared,” the entertainment news site explained.
“The state’s share of projects has been steadily eroding since 1997, when Canadian provinces began offering significant tax credits for TV producers and filmmakers. Now, more than 40 U.S. states and a dozen foreign countries offer incentives and it’s taken a serious toll on the state.”
Yes, California’s economy is looking more horrific than Fabio’s face after killing a goose with his well-built schnozz. (This really happened, millennials.)
An Italian model more well-known for his hair than his politics may not be the first person you think of as a California expert, but as someone who has lived in the state for years and understands the entertainment industry, he may actually have a point.
Liberal policies have caused economic chaos wherever they’re tried. It’s disappointing that one of the most beautiful states in the country is the latest victim… and unless Americans start paying attention, those dire results could spread faster than Fabio’s charm.
