Mike Pence Slams 2020 Dem Hopefuls in Iowa, Reminds Citizens What They Have Done for State
Iowa is a key state for presidential candidates seeking their party’s nomination, and Vice President Mike Pence reminded Iowans that several Democrats refused to vote for a disaster relief bill for Iowa.
Every four years, Democrats travel to Iowa in an attempt to win the coveted Iowa caucus only to forget about Iowans until they return four years later.
Senate Democrats sent a clear message by refusing to pass a bill that would provide relief to Iowa and other Midwest states that have recently suffered from severe flooding.
Democrats rejected the disaster relief bill, prolonging the suffering of Americans in the heartland, because it didn’t include enough money for Puerto Rico.
But as President Donald Trump explained on Twitter, Puerto Rico was set to receive a huge amount of hurricane relief aid.
“The Democrats today killed a Bill that would have provided great relief to Farmers and yet more money to Puerto Rico despite the fact that Puerto Rico has already been scheduled to receive more hurricane relief funding than any ‘place’ in history,” Trump tweeted last week.

….are GREAT, but the politicians are incompetent or corrupt. Puerto Rico got far more money than Texas & Florida combined, yet their government can’t do anything right, the place is a mess – nothing works. FEMA & the Military worked emergency miracles, but politicians like…..

….the crazed and incompetent Mayor of San Juan have done such a poor job of bringing the Island back to health. 91 Billion Dollars to Puerto Rico, and now the Dems want to give them more, taking dollars away from our Farmers and so many others. Disgraceful!

Democrats struck down the relief aid bill to score political points, and everyday Americans in Iowa will suffer because of it.
Pence reminded Iowans that several 2020 hopeful Democrats need to be held accountable for their votes.
“If you see Sen. Elizabeth Warren, if you see Sen. Amy Klobuchar, if you see Sen. Cory Booker and others come to Iowa asking for your vote, you ought to ask them why they voted against disaster assistance for Iowa,” Pence said Friday.
“Right now Iowa needs disaster assistance and it’s time for Congress to act,” Pence added.

In the past, Democrats have consistently denigrated the type of everyday Americans that live in states like Iowa.
It’s impossible to forget that former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton referred to Trump supporters as “deplorable.”
Trump then went on to win Iowa by nearly 10 percent.
Democrats need to prove that they care about everyday Americans in the heartland, but they haven’t been very convincing so far.
