Man Sets Self on Fire Near White House After Mueller Energizes Massive New Trump Hatred

Share

Barely a few short hours after the conclusion of Robert Mueller’s rare and surprising news conference on Wednesday — one the media had only an hour to prepare for — an unidentified man lit himself on fire on a lawn close to the White House.

According to the U.K. Daily Mail, it’s not clear why the man set himself ablaze. However, some media outlets are implicitly tying the two events together after Mueller’s bombshell statement that has a new wave of Democrats calling for impeachment proceedings to begin.

“If we had had confidence that the president had clearly not committed a crime, we would have said so,” Mueller said. “Charging the president with a crime is not an option we could consider.”

The U.S. Secret Service reported in a Twitter post that the incident occurred at 12:20 p.m., when the unidentified man walked across the Ellipse — a 52-acre park south of the White House fence — and lit himself on fire.

First aid, including extinguishing the flames engulfing the man’s entire body, was rendered by Secret Service agents, National Park agents and U.S. Park Police, according to the tweet.

Secret Service spokesman Jeffrey Adams said uniformed division officers responded to the situation first, according to CNBC.

“The individual is being transported to a local hospital,” Adams added.

Again, while we’re still unsure what prompted the man to commit such an act so close to the White House, the growing calls for Trump’s impeachment after Mueller’s news conference will likely hit a fever-pitch.

It’s not out of the realm of possibility that we see “Trump Derangement Syndrome” on the left reach new levels of insanity, prompting the mentally ill within the anti-Trump crowd to do things they might not have otherwise considered doing.

Trump immediately took to Twitter after Mueller’s remarks, echoing recent statements that there’s “insufficient evidence” to charge him and that the case is closed.

Make no mistake — what Mueller did today was tactically political.

He had to have known that his dramatic remarks would stoke the flames of anti-Trump hatred even hotter than they’re already burning on the left.

Let’s just hope and pray that it wasn’t what prompted the man publicly burn himself and that it doesn’t inspire any future bizarre acts of insanity from the Trump-haters.
