Legal Immigrant Proudly Rocks His MAGA Hat, Gets Assaulted by Anti-Trump Punks
A legal immigrant from West Africa and proud supporter of President Donald Trump was assaulted over the weekend, apparently for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.
Atsu Mable was taking an after-dinner walk Saturday in Germantown, Maryland, when he was accosted by three men, according to WJLA-TV.
“They were asking me, ‘Hey bro, why did you put that hat on?’ And I didn’t say anything, I just passed by,” Mable told the station.
He said two of the three men began to assault him after he passed.
“All of a sudden, I got a punch on my head. Boom!” Mable said. “They took my headphones and smashed it to the ground and tried to take my phone.”

Mable tried to defend himself against the two men while an eyewitness called 911 — the police sirens eventually scared the attackers away.
“I was falling back onto the ground,” Mable said. “They were punching me on my head. Suddenly … I thank God for that bystander that came by and called the police.”

Officers later caught two suspects, 27-year-old Jovan Crawford and 25-year-old Scott Roberson, who were hiding among a group of children playing basketball, WJLA reported.

In addition to being a Trump supporter, Mable is an immigrant from Togo, a West African country. Mable legally immigrated to the United States in 2007 and became an American citizen in 2013, according to WJLA.
“Why can’t all people come here legally then? I went through the right process, the proper channels and I’m here,” Mable told WJLA. “So why can’t they do the same thing?”
It’s not uncommon for Trump supporters to face harassment and even assault in public, but Trump’s foes are supposed to love immigrants like Mable.
However, the left’s vaunted tolerance doesn’t apply to men and women like Mable because hatred of conservatives and Trump supporters transcends country of origin, age, gender, and ethnicity.
“They felt like a black man should not be wearing a Trump hat because it’s like when you are black, you have to be a Democrat,” Mable told WJLA.
Mable, who had a cut on his nose and pain in his jaw from the attack, said he won’t be deterred by the experience from wearing his “Make America Great Again” hat in the future.
“I’ll wear it again,” he told WJLA. “The movement is still going on. Trump is still in power. And in 2020, we will win again.”
Everybody is a target for Trump-haters — even immigrants from West Africa.
