Jemele Hill Rips Trump for 'War' on Black Athletes
Notorious race-baiter and former ESPN host Jemele Hill recently left “The Worldwide Leader,” but a change in venue hasn’t seemed to change her rhetoric whatsoever.
Hill is now writing for The Atlantic, and her racially charged rhetoric hasn’t gotten any better. Remember, Hill is the woman who brazenly (and without evidence) accused President Donald Trump of being a “white supremacist.”
Somehow, if anything, Hill’s race-baiting has gotten even worse since she left ESPN. She has gone from making wildly inflammatory accusations with no basis in truth to making wildly inflammatory accusations that seem to willfully ignore what’s actually happening.
In a piece titled “The War on Black Athletes,” one installment in a 50-part Atlantic series on Trump’s first two years in the White House, Hill lambastes the president over a multitude of issues.
First and foremost, despite making the big claim that Trump is at war with black athletes as a whole, Hill spends the majority of her piece just focusing on former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
You know, the same Colin Kaepernick who has never done anything as inflammatory as wear socks depicting police officers as pigs, equate the police to modern-day slave wranglers or wear T-shirts promoting reviled Cuban dictator Fidel Castro.
Oh, wait. What’s that? He did do all those things? Well, in that case, it’s kind of hard to blame anyone for directing their ire at him.
“Trump referred to Kaepernick as ‘your San Francisco quarterback — I’m sure nobody’s ever heard of him.’ He also bragged about the fact that he was responsible for NFL owners’ not signing Kaepernick, a free agent at the time, because they feared a public rebuke from Trump,” Hill laments in her Atlantic piece.
Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. If you use inflammatory rhetoric, you can expect some headed back in your direction.
When contacted by Conservative Tribune, Hill said the president “singled out more than just Kaepernick. He called an entire league, mostly comprised of black players, ‘sons of b—-es.’ He also disinvited the Warriors from the White House, and questioned LeBron James’ intelligence.”
To be clear, Trump disinvited the NBA champion Golden State Warriors after they had publicly maligned him, and he questioned James’ intelligence after the NBA star called him a “bum.”
But more than figuring out a timeline here, let’s just look at the facts and what’s actually happened under Trump’s presidency.
If Trump is a racist monster, how is it that black small businesses have thrived so much and so much money has been put into black communities under his watch? Why has black unemployment plummeted during his presidency?
Oh, and those tax reforms that leftists keep whining will only help the rich? Hill should know that the black athletes with whom Trump supposedly is at war are benefiting big-time.
And let’s not forget that Trump has routinely invited teams that are primarily made up of black athletes, including the Clemson and Alabama football teams, to the White House.
Yup. Doesn’t sound like much of a war to me.
