Jaw-Dropping Video: Ilhan Omar Facing Outrage After Giving Her Take on 9/11 Terrorists
Where were you on 9/11?
It’s a question that every American old enough to remember the horrific attacks of 2001 can answer with complete clarity. The tragedy, and the wars that followed, have dominated American culture for nearly two decades. It remains the greatest loss of life from a terror attack in history.
Not everyone was left with a life-changing impression from the attacks, though.
One who was apparently not stirred even has a seat in the United States Congress.
Rep. Ilhan Omar, the Minnesota Democrat who only became a citizen a year before the attacks, is now the subject of a massive wave of outrage following comments in which she referred 9/11 as “some people who did something.”
Ilhan Omar mentions 9/11 and does not consider it a terrorist attack on the USA by terrorists, instead she refers to it as “Some people did something”, then she goes on to justify the establishment of a terrorist organization (CAIR) on US soil. pic.twitter.com/ixP3BJfqxS

“CAIR was founded after 9/11, because they recognize that some people did something, and then all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties,” Omar said. The remarks were made during a fundraiser last month for Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Daily Caller reports.
It’s worth noting that CAIR is an organization that has been labeled a terror front group due to its alleged support for Hamas terrorists.
Needless to say, this nonchalant dismissal of the deadliest attack on U.S. soil didn’t go over so well.
Among those angered by her words is Rep. Dan Crenshaw, the freshman Texas Republican who has already built a reputation for calling out liberals on social media.
First Member of Congress to ever describe terrorists who killed thousands of Americans on 9/11 as “some people who did something”.
Unbelievable. https://t.co/IKtoZWWmIT

Crenshaw lost an eye in military service in Afghanistan, a country the United States invaded in response to the 9/11 attacks. Other veterans responded to Omar’s comments, too.
Because of some people who did something I got to spend 30 months in some place, shooting at someone, and for the last 9 years something makes me wake up in a cold sweat every couple of nights.

I am an airline pilot and was in the Air National Guard on 9/11. “Some people” destroyed my airline career for a decade, and I got to deploy a bunch of times for Afghanistan and Iraq. I flew a lot of wounded soldiers out of there. She should have seen them.

Years ago, a comment like Omar’s would be unheard of coming from a United States politician. Now, the left’s progressive march towards insanity seems to ensure that this kind of disrespect for a national tragedy will only become more commonplace.
After all, when they’ve destroyed the sanctity of human life through aggressive protections for abortion, what’s a few thousand lives lost in a terror attack?
We’ve yet to see how Omar will weasel her way out of this one. She’s already caught up in an investigation into misuse of funds, and a disastrous comment like hers is virtually guaranteed to cause more problems for her.
