Hillary: 'Democracy Is in Crisis,' Time To 'Fight Back'

Share

Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton wrote an essay published Sunday claiming that President Donald Trump has created a crisis for American democracy, but the essay reads like unhinged rants from a rabid conspiracy theorist.

Clinton started off her essay, published by The Atlantic, much like any liberal would begin a rant against Trump: with an appeal to fear and emotion. And it’s a trend that continued throughout the entire essay.

“I hoped that my fears for our future were overblown,” Clinton wrote about Trump’s presidency, “They were not.”

One of Clinton’s most bizarre statements was that she believes Trump and “his cronies” act in a manner that is purposefully meant to distract people from “protecting American democracy.”

“Trump and his cronies do so many despicable things that it can be hard to keep track,” Clinton claimed. “I think that may be the point — to confound us, so it’s harder to keep our eye on the ball. The ball, of course, is protecting American democracy.”

It seems like Clinton has consumed too much left-wing establishment media. Or perhaps Clinton is just confused since she is used to being a part of dirty schemes and cannot comprehend that other people typically don’t do the same.

For example, Clinton and the Democratic National Committee were working together against Sen. Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primaries. Even far-left Sen. Elizabeth Warren confessed that the primaries were rigged, according to BBC News.

Clinton continued to make more bizarre and hypocritical comments in her essay.

At one point she claimed “our democratic institutions and traditions are under siege” but then claimed she wanted to abolish one of America’s oldest democratic institutions.

Does Hillary Clinton carry any credibility within the Democratic Party?

“And you won’t be surprised to hear that I passionately believe it’s time to abolish the Electoral College,” Clinton said.

While it’s true that our democratic institutions are under attack, it’s not being done by Trump and Republicans. Our democratic institutions are under attack by left-wing lunatics like Clinton who want to completely change the way American democracy works.

Of course, any anti-Trump essay wouldn’t be complete without accusations of racism.

“Trump doesn’t even try to pretend he’s a president for all Americans,” Clinton claimed, “It’s hard to ignore the racial subtext of virtually everything Trump says.”

Clinton is ignoring the fact that Trump’s policies have helped all Americans including minorities. Fewer people are in poverty and median household income has increased, according to a statement released by the White House last Wednesday.

“Among Hispanics, incomes rose by 3.7 percentage points and surpassed $50,000 for the first time on record,” according to the statement. “Additionally, the official poverty rates of both blacks and Hispanics fell in 2018, each reaching new series lows.”

She ended her essay with an ominous statement: “We need to do everything we can to fight back,” Clinton claimed.

Clinton was wrong. American democracy is doing just fine and our country is in the right hands. The fight that should be waged is by Republican voters, to turn out in numbers large enough to ward off a liberal takeover of the House and Senate.
