Watch: Herman Cain Posts Video with Great News
It seems at times that the mainstream media reports nothing but bad news, specifically these days when they appear particularly averse to reporting anything that makes President Trump and his administration look good.
Former Republican presidential contender and businessman Herman Cain recently noted that tendency as part of a short video in which he focused only on the good news of the day as a counter to the media’s focus on bad news.
“First, did you know that the unemployment rate in the month of February this year — 22 states were below 3 percent. That’s good news,” Cain stated.
“At the same time that the national average stayed at 4.1 percent,” he continued, explaining that the low average unemployment rate means most people who wants jobs are capable of finding one.
That good news was also highlighted by the fact that both black and Hispanic unemployment rates are at historic all-time lows.
“Now I happen to believe that these low unemployment numbers is what’s causing some people — good news! — to get off food stamps,” Cain said.
“You see, not everybody that’s on food stamps want to be on food stamps,” he continued. “They want the dignity of work and they want the dignity of a job, and many of them are being able to find those jobs now that this economy is doing as well as it’s doing.”
In more good news, Cain shared how the “drama” surrounding CIA Director Mike Pompeo’s nomination to be the next secretary of state appeared to have been cleared up. Pompeo’s nomination was cleared by the requisite Senate committee and moved to the Senate floor for a full confirmation vote, which he should receive shortly.
Cain noted how Pompeo has “impeccable credentials” and, by virtue of his recent clandestine meeting with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, has already proven himself to be adept at international negotiations and diplomacy.
“The other good news is that the stock market has remained strong, around 24,000 on the Dow Jones Average,” Cain said. “That’s good news, not only for those who have retirement accounts, but also for businesses as that translates to more jobs, higher wages and all of the good things that we enjoy.”
“Finally, this president is showing that he does have some international diplomatic skills that a lot of people have underestimated,” Cain added. “The North Korean leader and the South Korean leader are going to meet … (North Korea) has stopped blasting their propaganda machine at the border between the two countries, and yes, President Trump is still slated to meet with Kim Jong Un later this year.”
“That is all good news, folks, so don’t be deceived or discouraged by all of the bad news from sometimes bad people when you turn on the news,” he concluded.
This was indeed a welcome batch of good news that stands in stark contrast to the perpetual “sky-is-falling” reports of doom and gloom from the liberal media.
As Cain alluded to, the constant barrage of negative news is intended to discourage the average American — particularly those who support President Trump — into thinking that he and his administration are failing at everything they do and there is no hope left for the country if we continue down the path Trump has laid out.
But the reality is, as seen by the good news of the day and as Trump himself jokingly cautioned during the election, America is indeed “winning” in many respects due to Trump’s agenda and policies. This is an important reality that his supporters should keep in mind as the media focuses only on negative stories that make him look bad.
