Florida Republican Uses Jussie Smollett To Bury Mueller's Russia Investigation
After two tiresome years in the making, Special Counsel Robert Mueller has announced the end of his investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, according to The Washington Times.
The findings of the report haven’t been announced yet — not even to the White House, according to Press Secretary Sarah Sanders.
The next steps are up to Attorney General Barr, and we look forward to the process taking its course. The White House has not received or been briefed on the Special Counsel’s report.

Still, the simple fact that the drama is reaching its end should be cause enough for celebration among Republicans.
Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida tweeted about the announcement, using it to draw comparisons to another recent showy media fiasco.
“The Mueller Report is in,” Gaetz wrote on Friday. “Turns out all along it was two Nigerian men in #MAGA hats who hacked the DNC & rode shirtless on horseback w Putin to mar-a-lago.”

Gaetz was referring to actor Jussie Smollett, who made headlines earlier this year when he claimed to have been attacked by two men.
Smollett claimed that his attackers shouted racial and homophobic slurs at him and put a noose around his neck.
Smollett’s melodramatic story was later derailed when Olabinjo and Abimbola Osundairo, brothers from Nigeria, told police that Smollett had paid them $3,500 to stage the attack.
Now, after Smollett gave interviews about surviving a hate crime, he’s facing a 16-count indictment.
Smollett dragged the media through the twists and turns of a daytime soap opera. What about Mueller?
Democrats may have backed themselves into a corner with this one.
Leftist media built up the Russia investigation as the left’s greatest weapon against President Trump. According to them, the investigation would ruin the president and the reputations of those who supported him.
Sounds like fun.
I just want to know: What happened? Where are the further indictments the left promised?
Contrary to the left’s fantasy, the years of investigation haven’t ruined Trump. At most, the investigation has given the president an opportunity fire back against leftist news outlets.
Like actors, the left knows how to keep the media following their every move. But while the left has been caught up in the drama, Trump has been free to quietly get stuff done in his office.
