Feds Investigating Abortion Doc Allegedly Snapping, Slashing Babies' Necks After Birth

Pro-life conservatives often point out there are societal consequences to treating human life as disposable.

That seems to have been proven true, at least based on a disturbing case that is now under investigation in Texas.

While many advocates of abortion have insisted that there’s a major difference between ending an unborn child’s life in the womb and doing so for a newborn, no such moral line apparently exists for abortion provider Douglas Karpen.

According to Life News, Karpen is under investigation by the FBI after allegedly murdering viable babies that were born alive after previous abortion attempts failed.

“The case actually began in 2012, when four women who worked at Karpen’s Houston area abortion facilities contacted Operation Rescue with information that he was violating the law,” reported the pro-life news site.

“Cheryl Sullenger, Senior Vice President of Operation Rescue, received photos of large babies that one Karpen employee had taken at his abortion facility with her cell phone. Workers said the baby had been born alive, then killed by slashing or twisting their necks,” Life News continued.

Witness testimony and photos documenting the shocking crime was collected by Operation Rescue and forwarded to law enforcement. That evidence didn’t get traction, however, until Congress took an interest in the case — and then did not move forward until Barack Obama left the White House.

“Operation Rescue then forwarded the information about Karpen’s alleged crimes to the U.S. House Select Panel on Infant Lives,” Life News said. “On December 7, 2016, the House Select Panel referred Karpen to the Department of Justice under former Attorney General Loretta Lynch for investigation and prosecution.”

You would think that physically breaking the necks of live, born infants would outrage even liberals. Instead, it appears that Lynch, a member of the Obama administration, didn’t think it was a priority.

If the facts are correct, should this doctor be tried for murder?

It took an entirely new administration for anything to be done.

“In 2017, the House Select Panel renewed its criminal referral of Karpen to the DOJ under Attorney General Jeff Sessions,” reported Life News.

“The letter I received from the Department of Justice is encouraging,” stated Cheryl Sullenger, the Senior Vice President of Operation Rescue.

“The photos depict wounds inflicted on those babies that could not have been done inside the womb. We are grateful for this new FBI investigation that has renewed our hope that Karpen may finally be brought to justice,” she said.

Abortion is without a doubt a controversial issue, and the debate will not be settled overnight. Voters are split, but one thing that should have universal condemnation is the taking of life after a baby has already been born.

Killing an innocent and defenseless human being is appalling under any circumstances, but the alleged actions of this “doctor” are unspeakably more evil.

Conservatives and even fair-minded liberals need to speak out against this, before the callous killing of newborn infants becomes shockingly routine. We cannot normalize murder, even if the victims are too small to cry for help.
