FBI Texts Explode: Obama Personally Involved in Hillary Investigation

Share

The scandal involving bias for one candidate over the other within the Department of Justice has stunned the country, but former President Barack Obama seemed fairly insulated from the controversy… until now.

After thousands of text messages showing political favoritism and a memo outlining political scheming was released to the public, the FBI and the Democratic National Committee appeared hardest hit. The 44th president had managed to stay above the fallout, but that has changed.

In a dramatic twist, Obama is now linked to the FBI scandal as uncovered messages show that he personally pushed himself into the bureau’s investigation into Clinton’s misuse of email.

That Department of Justice inquiry was supposed to be unbiased and non-political — yet it looks like Obama may have stepped in and put pressure on investigators, almost certainly skewing the results.

“Newly revealed text messages between FBI paramours Peter Strzok and Lisa Page include an exchange about preparing talking points for then-FBI Director James Comey to give to President Obama, who wanted ‘to know everything we’re doing,'” reported Fox News.

“Page wrote to Strzok on Sept. 2, 2016, about prepping Comey because ‘potus wants to know everything we’re doing.’ According to a newly released Senate report, this text raises questions about Obama’s personal involvement in the Clinton email investigation.”

The “potus” Page referred to in text-speak is, of course, “POTUS,” as in the president of the United States. At the time, that was Barack Obama, and, as Fox noted, the texts could show a level of involvement by Obama that has barely been hinted at until now.

The two texters — Strzok, an FBI agent, and Page, a bureau lawyer — are already at the center of the growing FBI scandal. Messages exchanged between the two reveal a clear and angry bias against Donald Trump, along with strong hints that they and others in the bureau were scheming to help Hillary Clinton.

“In texts previously revealed, Strzok and Page have shown their disdain for Republicans in general, as well as Trump, calling him a ‘f***ing idiot,’ among other insults,” Fox reported.

Do you believe Obama was influencing the FBI's investigation?

“Among the newly disclosed texts, Strzok also calls Virginians who voted against then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s wife for a state Senate seat ‘ignorant hillbillys,'” the report continued.

Holding personal bias while being involved in the investigations of both candidates, as Peter Strzok was, is bad enough. However, even more appalling is the evidence that members of the FBI saw it as their job to take down Trump, and were using their positions to play politics.

Previous text messages sent by Strzok hint at an “insurance policy” in case Trump won the election, and then a “secret society” within the FBI once Trump was victorious.

Additional texts now show that FBI employees viewed themselves as crusaders who had no choice but to topple the new president.

“On Election Day 2016, Page wrote, ‘OMG THIS IS F***ING TERRIFYING.’ Strzok replied, ‘Omg, I am so depressed.’ Later that month, on Nov. 13, 2016, Page wrote, ‘I bought all the president’s men. Figure I need to brush up on watergate,'” according to Fox.

“All The President’s Men” is a book by journalists Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward, outlining their take-down of Richard Nixon during the Watergate scandal. The difference between journalists and unbiased, sworn FBI agents apparently did not occur to Lisa Page.

Another text message makes it clear that the FBI employees were pursuing a vendetta against Trump.

“The next day, Nov. 14, 2016, Page wrote, ‘God, being here makes me angry. Lots of high fallutin’ national security talk. Meanwhile we have OUR task ahead of us,'” Fox reported.

“OUR task” of undermining the president-elect was apparently more important to the FBI officials than national security. Think about that for a moment.

With the FBI’s internal favoritism becoming increasingly clear and now even Barack Obama connected to the scandal, this controversy cannot be swept under the rug as easily as the left hopes.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation working to skew an election and undermine a president-elect is bad. A sitting president applying pressure and sticking his nose into a supposedly unbiased investigation is even worse.

Every new detail seems more dirty and corrupt than the last. There was collusion in Washington, but it was within the Democrat’s own party.
