FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force Nails Dylann Roof Supporter, Can You Guess Her Political Affiliation?

Share

I think we can all agree that regardless of your political or ideological viewpoints, Dylann Roof is a despicable scumbag who deserves everything coming his way and then some.

Just in case you tried to mentally block out the atrocities Roof committed — and I can’t blame you for that — he shot and killed nine people at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina in 2015.

Much to the dismay of myself and decent people everywhere, Roof’s atrocities haven’t appalled everyone. In fact, some people seem inspired by his senseless and damnable slaughter.

Take, for instance, Elizabeth Lecron of Ohio.

The 23-year-old woman “had glorified Dylann Roof and corresponded with the self-avowed white supremacist in federal prison” according to The Post and Courier.

While that is contemptible in and of itself, Lecron allegedly tried to take things much further by planning an “upscale mass murder” at a Toledo bar.

Thankfully, the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force was able to apprehend her before any lives were lost.

As the Courier reports, authorities are alleging that Lecron purchased two pounds of gunpowder and 600 screws to use in a bomb.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Northern District of Ohio released a statement on Monday adding more details.

“This defendant bought black powder and hundreds of screws that she expected would be used to make a bomb,” said Justin E. Herdman, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio. “Through her words and actions, she demonstrated that she was committed to seeing death and destruction in order to advance hate. This case demonstrates terrorism comes in many guises and we will remain vigilant to protect all Americans.”

“Removing Elizabeth Lecron from the ranks of civilized society by virtue of arrest and prosecution thwarts her explicitly stated desire to engage in acts of death and destruction,” FBI Acting Special Agent in Charge Jeff Fortunato added. “This case is a testament to the value of an ever vigilant public, which had the courage to alert law enforcement as to the evil goals and intentions of this suspect.”

As the U.S. Attorney’s Office notes, this case was brought to their attention when one of Lecron’s “associates expressed a desire to conduct a violent attack.” Further investigation yielded that Lecron had frequently posted “voluminous photos and comments on social media glorifying mass murderers, including the Columbine shooters and Dylann Roof.”

But while the FBI was thwarting what would have been a tragic attack, a curious thing happened.

When Roof committed his atrocities, leftists bent over backward trying to link Roof to Republicans and conservatives. Some even went so far as to compare President Donald Trump to Roof.

But leftists have been unusually silent regarding Lecron. Maybe it’s because, as The Daily Beast notes, Lecron was a registered Democrat in 2016? Oh, and let’s not forget that she re-tweeted Bernie Sanders as recently as early 2017.

Now, who knows what she registered as in 2018 and you also can’t say she’s a Sanders supporter simply because she re-tweeted him. But what’s that old saying about if something looks like a duck and quacks like a duck?

By all accounts, Lecron is a mentally disturbed individual. Along with her possible Democratic ties, she also frequently posted Neo-Nazi imagery.

But leave it to far leftists to conveniently turn a blind eye to Lecron as soon as it became apparent that she may not fit their narrative quite like Roof did, even if leftists have mostly been proven wrong about Roof’s alleged right-wing ties.
