Excuses Already: Kamala Harris Believes Russia Is Targeting Her Campaign
If you thought the Democrats’ Russian collusion fantasy had finally concluded after the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report, think again.
California Sen. Kamala Harris, a rising star in the large field of Democratic presidential candidates, recently revealed in an interview on iHeartRadio’s “The Breakfast Club” that she’s convinced that the Russians have already targeted her campaign, according to Breitbart.
After being asked by host Angela Yee if Harris thought the sneaky Russians were targeting her, she replied, “Well, we already know we are.”
Later in the interview, Harris attempted to explain just how the Russians are going to interfere with her ability to win the presidency.
“We have to pay attention to that stuff and know that it’s not going to necessarily be real people doing it,” she said. ““It’ll be others and those [Russian] bots that stir it up to the point that it generates heat and then people start getting swept into it, right?”
Harris is so convinced of Russian involvement in American politics and culture that she blamed the outrage over Colin Kaepernick’s anthem kneeling on Russian bots.
“Many smart people have said it was actually not a thing,” Harris said, referring to the backlash from Americans upset by Kaepernick’s protest. “The Russian bots started taking that on.”
According to NBC News, a 2018 poll revealed that a majority of Americans found Kaepernick’s protests “not appropriate.”
No Russians involved there.
Trust me, Sen. Harris, the backlash to Kaepernick absolutely was a “thing.” Millions of patriotic Americans back me up.
At this point, Harris’ media appearances are mostly just damage control. She’s likely to be beaten for the Democratic nomination by former vice president Joe Biden or another candidate.
She’s doing well in the polls now, especially after her June debate performance in which she shredded Biden on his civil rights record, but there’s a long way to go between now and election day.
Using the Russia excuse is a brilliant move for Harris: she’ll be able to use it if she loses the nomination or if she becomes the nominee and gets beaten in the general election by President Donald Trump.
Democrats are getting good at building a shield of victimhood, from the race card to the Russia story.
If Harris is right, I sure hope the Russians influence me to vote for Trump again in 2020.
But if Trump does win again, it will be the American people, not the Russians, who put him in office.
