Don Jr. Grinds Newsweek into the Ground After the Magazine Calls Him a Hitler Apologist

Share

Donald Trump Jr. blasted Newsweek on Twitter for mischaracterizing his comments about political commentator Candace Owens.

Owens, who is the director of communications at conservative student group Turning Point USA, testified Tuesday during a House Judiciary Committee hearing on hate crimes and white nationalism.

However, Owens wasn’t given a warm welcome by Democratic Rep. Ted Lieu, who attacked Owens by playing an audio clip of her controversial, out-of-context “Hitler comments,” according to Fox News.

In the “Hitler comments,” Owens actually slammed the brutal dictator and classified him as a globalist rather than a nationalist.

But the establishment media doesn’t mention in their wild headlines that Owens’ comments were anti-Hitler — the comments are simply reported as “Hitler comments.”

Walking in lockstep with the left-wing establishment media, Democrat politicians such as Lieu attempt to use the “Hitler comments” against Owens, even though the comments were completely innocuous.

“Of all the people the Republicans could’ve selected, they picked Candace Owens. I don’t know Miss Owens; I’m not going to characterize her; I’m going to let her own words talk,” Lieu said, implying that Owens’ anti-Hitler comments were somehow bad or damaging.

Do you agree with Don Trump Jr.'s approach to combat left-wing media lies?

“I think it’s pretty apparent that Mr. Lieu believes that black people are stupid and will not pursue the full clip in its entirety,” Owens said in response.

On Twitter, Trump Jr. praised Owens’ great response.

“Great to see someone call out the Dems on their purposeful manipulation of facts for their narrative. Since the media runs with anything they say and is the marketing wing of the DNC they aren’t used to getting called out for the repeated BS,” Trump Jr. tweeted.

But the dishonest left-wing media responded by characterizing Trump Jr. as a Hitler apologist as well.

“Donald Trump Jr. praises Candace Owens for her defense of Hitler comments,” Newsweek tweeted Wednesday.

Again, the left-wing media used the phrase “Hitler comments” to make Owens (and now Trump Jr.) seem like a Hitler apologist. It wasn’t until deep in the article that Newsweek explained some of the context behind the “Hitler comments.”

Trump Jr. slammed Newsweek by tweeting, “Hey guys, just here for the Ratio you lying POS!!!”

“The President needs to open up the libel laws,” Owens added in response. “I’m getting sick of this. Time to make moves against these people.”

Conservatives should be in agreement that the lying left-wing media needs to be held accountable for misleading reporting.

More conservatives should take Trump Jr.’s approach by directly confronting the left-wing fake news on Twitter.
