Here's the Disturbing New Pledge of Allegiance Key Latino Leader's Pushing

Share

A key Latino leader is pushing for a disturbing new pledge of allegiance, citing the pledge’s alleged connection to “white supremacy.”

Cesar Vargas, co-director of the Dream Action Coalition, attacked America’s pledge in a bizarre piece for the The Hill on Tuesday.

“The pledge’s history is deeply rooted in nativism and white supremacy,” Vargas claimed.

Vargs also cited the controversy surrounding the Covington Catholic High School kids who were confronted by Native American activist Nathan Phillips.

“White teenagers harassing a Native American elder or chanting ‘build the wall’ at Mexican immigrants are not isolated incidents,” Vargas wrote.

But the high school kids didn’t “harass” Phillips. Nick Sandmann stood still and smiled while Phillips tried to antagonize the students with a loud drum.

Of course, leftists now think standing still is aggressive.

Vargas offered an alternative pledge of allegiance to address his ridiculous concerns.

Do you prefer the existing pledge?

“I pledge allegiance and love to our indigenous and immigrant heritage, rooted in the United States of America, to our civil rights for which we strive, one voice, one nation, for equality and justice for all,” Vargas suggested.

To contrast, the current pledge is: “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

You might have noticed that Vargas completely removed several significant bits from the original pledge.

Most notably, Vargas completely removed God from the pledge.

It’s not surprising that the left wants to sponge all references to God, especially considering their highly immoral love for abortion.

Democrats have made it perfectly clear that they are intolerant of Christians, and this proposed pledge would make it official.

Vargas also removed the pledge’s reference to “liberty” and replaced it with “equality” instead.

That’s an unnecessary change because liberty doesn’t discriminate.

Liberty isn’t enough for liberals because they want “equality” of outcome, meaning everyone gets a trophy regardless of how hard they’ve worked.

Additionally, Vargas’ reference to “one voice” is a bit eerie. One beautiful aspect of America is the existence of differing voices, opinions, and perspectives.

Vargas is proposing changes to pledge that would completely remove fundamental American beliefs. The Latino leader wants to erase God, liberty, and individualism in exchange for “equality” and “one voice.”

This proposed pledge of allegiance is a shining example of the left’s disdain for America.
