Dem Who Supports Dismembering Babies in Womb Says GOP's Full of Phony Christians
South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg says he is a Christian.
Now, as a Christian myself, I believe the status of Buttigieg’s soul is between him and God, no one else.
But I have absolutely no issue criticizing Buttigieg when he’s a hypocrite.
And of that, there’s no question.
Speaking Thursday night at the 2020 Democratic presidential debate, the politician known as “Mayor Pete” criticized conservative Christians for being hypocrites.
But it’s Buttigieg who’s the real hypocrite.
“The Republican Party likes to cloak itself in their language of religion. Now, our party doesn’t talk about that as much, largely for a very good reason, which is, we are committed to the separation of church and state, and we stand for people of any religion and people of no religion,” he said.

“But, we should call out hypocrisy when we see it,” Buttigieg added. “And for a party that associates itself with Christianity, to say that it is OK to suggest that God would smile on the division of families at the hands of federal agents, that God would condone putting children in cages, has lost all claim to ever use religious language again.”
His remarks garnered wild cheering from the audience.
But it’s more than a bit rich for Buttigieg, who supports allowing unborn children to be ripped out of their mother’s wombs, to be calling other Christians phonies.
Buttigieg has previously said on “Meet the Press” that abortion is a “question that is almost unknowable … a moral question that is not going to be settled by science. So the best way for it to be settled in practice is by the person who actually faces the choice,” according to Axios.
And he suggested at a Fox News town hall last month that there shouldn’t be any laws limiting when in a pregnancy a woman can obtain an abortion.
“The dialogue has gotten so caught up in where you draw the line. I trust women to draw the line,” he said, Vox reported.
“You would be OK with a woman well into the third trimester to obtain an abortion?” Fox host Chris Wallace asked.
Buttigieg eventually replied: “Let’s put ourselves in the shoes of a woman in that situation. If it’s that late in your pregnancy … it’s [almost to the point] that you’ve been expecting to carry it to term.”
“Families … then get the most devastating medical news of their lifetime. … That decision is not going to be made any better, medically or morally, because the government is dictating how that decision should be made,” he added.
So women should be able to have their unborn children murdered, even right up until the moment of birth? It certainly sounds like that’s what Buttigieg was saying.
As a Christian, I believe murder is wrong. And that’s what abortion is — murder.
If Buttigieg, a self-identified Christian, supports legalized murder, then he certainly shouldn’t be calling conservative Christians hypocrites.
