Dem Disaster: Antifa Punk Accused of Attacking Marines Just Got Tied Back to Maxine Waters & Other Dems: Report

Liberals like Michelle Obama once encouraged their supporters to “go high” — but more and more, it looks like the radical left is sinking to new lows.

Ever since Donald Trump burst onto the political scene, leftists and the media have insisted that his supporters are unhinged and racist. But it’s a liberal activist who is now facing charges of assault and racial intimidation in Pennsylvania, and he may have close ties to some very prominent Democratic leaders.

Joseph Alcoff, 37, is one of three people facing felony charges following a November 2018 attack on two Marines near a political rally in Philadelphia.

Numerous reports link Alcoff to the controversial group “antifa,” a far-left outfit known to use violence and intimidation to disrupt right-leaning political rallies and target Trump supporters.

The incident he’s charged with took place Nov. 17, when a patriotic rally by a group called We the People drew hundreds of counterprotesters, including antifa activists.

“According to court documents, Marines Alejandro Godinez and Luis Torres, who were not in uniform, were approached by a group of 10 to 12 activists on the 100 block of South Front Street in the Old City section of Philadelphia,” reported Philadelphia Magazine.

“Investigators say that the activists, who have been linked to the antifa movement in blog posts, news accounts, and in courtroom testimony, had been counter-protesting at the We the People rally,” that news outlet continued.

It appears that Alcoff and other members of the antifa group believed that the Marines — who happen to be Hispanic — were members of the alt-right group “Proud Boys.”

The Marines stated that they didn’t even know about that group and were simply sightseeing.

“(T)he two Marines testified that the activists attacked them, allegedly calling them ‘Nazis’ and ‘white supremacists,’ using ethnic slurs against them (both Marines are Hispanic), punching and kicking them repeatedly, and macing them,” Philadelphia Magazine reported.

A news report from 2011 links Alcoff to past rioting, making it likely that he has been a violent liberal agitator for many years.

“Alcoff has had a long history of protest,” Philadelphia Magazine reported. “The below video captures him in the mid-2000s saying ‘I’m a Communist, motherf***er’ before spitting at the person recording him.”

(Warning: There’s a lot of cursing here.)

But there are even more alarming links between the leftist charged with attacking Marines and more mainstream liberalism.

Outlets including Fox News have reported surprisingly close connections between Alcoff, who certainly appears to be a violent, radical communist, and prominent members of the Democratic Party.

“His endorsement apparently mattered when several congressional Democrats in February 2018 issued press releases with his quote backing their bill on regulating payday lenders,” Fox stated.

“Alcoff participated in congressional Democratic press conferences, was a guest on a House Democratic podcast and met with senior officials at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from 2016 through 2018,” Fox continued.

Indeed, photos show the same man now facing felony charges proudly standing next to Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters, which, combined with the fact that Democrats used his quotes in their promotional material, make it likely that they were aware of who he was.

But Alcoff’s activities seem to have been much more alarming that simply posing with liberal members of Congress.

“Alcoff was reportedly also an organizer for Smash Racism DC, the group responsible for gathering and shouting threats outside the home of Fox News host Tucker Carlson in November and for heckling Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and his wife Heidi at a Washington restaurant in September,” Fox stated.

And Maxine Waters? She famously found herself in hot water after she seemed to call for that very kind of thing: Confronting and intimidating conservatives whenever possible, even if it meant swarming them in the street.

“If you see anybody (from President Trump’s administration) in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd, and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” Waters declared in 2018.

It seems radicals like Alcoff may have taken that dangerous rhetoric and run with it.

If there are any Democratic leaders left who are as disgusted by these events as the rest of America, it’s time for them to speak out.

There is plenty of room in our country for political disagreement, but the escalating rhetoric from the left — and the violence it seems to spark — must end now.
