CNN's Acosta Absolutely Loses His Mind After Former White House Official Teases Him
CNN Chief White House Correspondent Jim Acosta lost his cool and sent a vulgar message to a former White House aide over an innocent joke.
It started Thursday night with a long, whiny tweet by Acosta, whose antics this year have made him a laughingstock.
“Tonight the Trump campaign/WH turned up the music so loud the press risers were vibrating. Nearly impossible to do live TV. I suppose the WH loves those kinds of shenanigans. But I wonder if it’s a security concern for USSS or local law enforcement. They can’t hear either,” Acosta complained.

Justin Caporale, a former aide to first lady Melania Trump, tweeted a funny response that lightly jabbed Acosta.
“Dear Diary…..” he wrote.

Adding “Dear diary” in front of Acosta’s tweets is a trend that started in June.

It’s a clever joke, and the best thing for Acosta to do in a situation like this would be to embrace it or ignore it.
For Acosta, however, Twitter is serious business, and Caporale’s tweet was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
The CNN correspondent sent Caporale a two-word direct message: “F— you.”
I don’t expect a high level of professionalism from Acosta, but sending someone a message like that seems to be crossing the line.
Of course, CNN probably won’t punish him over the message or reach out to Caporale about the incident.
If Acosta wanted to stop being the butt of the “Dear diary” joke, this is the worst way he could go about it.
Acosta is practically giving Twitter users material for mocking him at this point.
This situation is just one instance in a bizarre pattern of behavior from Acosta.
In June, he received disappointed and upset looks from his colleagues as he yelled out to President Donald Trump after the president’s speech.
In July, Acosta caused a scene in the Oval Office until a White House staffer had to kick him out.
Despite his past behavior, I never thought I’d see him stoop as low as sending someone a vulgar message over a harmless Twitter jab.
Acosta should learn how to take a joke.
