Was CNN Trying To Make These 8 Republican Women Look Like Racists?

Share

After CNN and other liberal networks watched the bottom fall out of the Russia collusion story that initially seemed like a sure thing in their eyes, they called an audible and set their sights on a new objective: labeling President Donald Trump a “racist.”

Unfortunately for them, much of America doesn’t seem to be buying the narrative. In their latest attempt to paint the president as a racist, on the heels of his Sunday tweets that encouraged “the squad” to go back to the countries they came from, CNN has been working overtime.

CNN’s Randi Kaye sat down with a panel of eight Republican women in Dallas, Texas, and did her best to elicit the responses that she wanted her viewers to hear — that Trump’s tweets were racist in nature. But the women, all of them, flipped the script.

When asked who thought the president’s tweets were not racist, all of the women raised their hands.

“It’s a demonstration of how their ideology spills over, even though they’re American now — so to speak — they’re not acting American,” one woman said about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her radical colleagues Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

“I’m a brown-skinned woman, I am a legal immigrant, I agree with him,” one of the women said when asked if she thought Trump’s tweets were racist.

Gina O’Briant, one of the eight women, reminded Kaye of Trump’s past and the fact that he’s been married to two legal immigrants.

“He dated a black woman for two years, two of his wives are immigrants,” she told the CNN host. “He is not a xenophobic racist.”

You can watch a portion of the segment in the video below.

Kaye repeatedly tried to milk the racism narrative but the women stood their ground the entire time.

Afterward, CNN ran a story on the panel and it seems as if the network tried to paint them as racists by expressing faux outrage.

“These GOP women see nothing wrong with Trump’s comments,” a headline on its website read Wednesday.

It’s interesting how CNN inserted “GOP” in the headline and implied those eight panelists were in the wrong toward “the squad” of four Democratic congresswomen.

What it looks like to me is that CNN — and perhaps other networks — might attempt to depict white pro-Trump Republicans as racist, which would give the networks more content for their daily dose of nonsense.

Although they have nothing else to go on, playing the race card is just plain lazy and irresponsible.

American voters don’t care that Ocasio-Cortez is of Hispanic decent — they’re only concerned with her destructive, idiotic socialist ideology that will hurt this great and prosperous nation.

I was never a fan of CNN, even before it ventured so far to the left. But I miss the days when I could turn it on for a few minutes and not be fed anti-Trump propaganda by the network’s shameless hosts.
