Classless Loon Attacks Sarah Sanders, Blindsided When Papa Huck Evens the Score
While President Donald Trump held a rally with supporters in Washington, Michigan, Saturday night, Washington D.C.’s media elite gathered for the annual White House Correspondents Association dinner.
The event was hosted by “comedian” Michelle Wolf, who spent her time attacking the president as well as the prominent women in his administration, such as Ivanka Trump and Kellyanne Conway
But according to TheBlaze, Wolf’s most brutal jabs were reserved for press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who was in attendance as a representative of the administration in Trump’s absence.
Wolf smeared Sanders as an unrepentant liar and harshly criticized her physical appearance. Sanders, who obviously found the “jokes” unfunny, nevertheless stoically remained at the dais and suffered the abuse that was gleefully lobbed against her.
TheBlaze reported separately that the press secretary’s father, former Arkansas governor and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, was none too pleased by the brutal treatment of his daughter by the WHCA dinner host and attendees, and took to Twitter to speak his mind in her defense as any father would.
The WHCD was supposed to celebrate the 1st Amendment. Instead they celebrated bullying, vulgarity, and hate. They got all dressed up so they would look nicer when they had a hired gun savagely attack their guests. Do they really wonder why America has no respect for them? Sad!

“The WHCD was supposed to celebrate the 1st Amendment. Instead they celebrated bullying, vulgarity, and hate,” tweeted Huckabee.
Huckabee was not alone alone in his disappointment at how his daughter had been viciously attacked, as plenty of voices on the right and even a few on the left called out Wolf for her low-blows against Sanders. Even New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, no fan of the administration to say the least, gave credit to Sanders.
Haberman tweeted, “That (Sanders) sat and absorbed intense criticism of her physical appearance, her job performance, and so forth, instead of walking out, on national television, was impressive.”

Huckabee took personal note of that tweet from an unlikely defender of Sanders and praised her for bravely adopting what is certainly an unpopular position among the ranks of the vehemently anti-Trump media.
Sincere and heartfelt THANKS to @maggieNYT for having guts to publicly denounce the vicious vile attack on @PressSec at WHCD. @PressSec handled it professionally but I pray her kids never see that. I pray more they never bully another person like that. https://t.co/UeJEaXTt8T

For her part, Wolf has smugly defended her smears of the press secretary and others as mere “comedy” about their “despicable behavior,” and though she has yet to fire back at Huckabee for his critique of her “performance,” she did send a couple shots out against others who criticized her, even insinuating that it was Haberman who assumed on her own that the “jokes” about Sanders were in regard to her physical appearance.
In truth, the only “despicable behavior” on display Saturday night was at the White House Correspondents Dinner, and Trump was right to skip the event and hold a rally with supporters instead. Huckabee was equally right to call it out as disgusting and unnecessary.
Considering the incredible abuse dished out toward Trump and his administration, he might consider having his entire administration steer clear of the event going forward, as there is no logical reason any longer to submit to the media’s petulant sadism.
