Justice: Antifa Thug Learns the Hard Way Not To Mess with the United States Marines

Share

While this is not about condoning violence, there are certainly those who will see this as justice being served. And it involves Antifa and the United States Marines.

According to The Daily Wire, a group of U.S. Marine Corps reservists were attacked by Antifa members. The reservists are reported to have been maced, assaulted, and called the usual names, such as “white supremacists” and “Nazis,” by members of the group claiming to be against fascism.

The Philadelphia Police released video footage on YouTube, seeking assistance in identifying the suspects. Below the video the included the following information:

“On Saturday, November 15, 2018, at approximately 3:20 pm, the complainants, who are United States Military Reservists, were on the 100 block of S. Front Street, when they were approached by numerous males and females. The group of suspects called the complainants “Nazis”, and “White Supremacists”.”

“The suspects then maced the complainants, and then proceeded to punch and kick them. During the assault, one of the complainant’s had his cell phone stolen from him by one of the male suspects.”

“The offenders then fled northbound on Front Street, towards Market. Some of the individuals involved were captured on video at an earlier protest in the area.”

Anyone who sees or can identify the suspects was then urged not to approach them, but to contact police via 911 or their tip line. “To submit a tip via telephone, dial 215.686.TIPS (8477) or text a tip to PPD TIP or 773847. All tips will be confidential.”

In the meantime, one alleged Antifa member turned himself in. The man, identified as 33-year-old Tom Keenan, “has been charged with two counts each of criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault, and reckless endangerment,” reported Philadelphia magazine.

He was not charged with robbery, though. He is slated for a December 6 preliminary hearing and is currently out on bail.

They added that this was not Keenan’s first brush with the law. Back in 2007 he was arrested following an incident near City Hall.

At the time, he was thought to be part of the “Love Park 4.” The incident allegedly involved a Ku Klux Klan rally.

Charges filed against Keenan included criminal conspiracy, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, and institutional vandalism. Other charges were also filed against him, but in a plea deal he was able to plead guilty to “one summary offense of disorderly conduct, while all other charges were withdrawn.”

Although it appears that the reservists acted with great restraint, the attackers are not getting away with their behavior. The reservists filed a complaint with police and are letting them handle it.

Should Antifa be deemed a terror group?

The police, in turn, are actively involved in finding those responsible and already have one alleged suspect facing charges. For some, this is the best way to handle such incidences, rather than to physically engage with the attackers.

For Keenan, because he has had a prior run-in, of a similar nature, with the law, he may not get off so easily this time. In addition, the charge of “terroristic threats” is no laughing matter.

Those who have yet to be apprehended may want to think twice before not only messing with members of the military, but taking part in Antifa violence. If Keenan gets slapped hard for his actions, it will send a clear message to other Antifa members about what is and is not okay in civilized society when it comes to protests.
