Anti-Trump Streisand Getting Roasted for Minimizing Michael Jackson's Alleged Victims
Singer and songwriter Barbara Streisand once called President Donald Trump “corrupt and indecent,” but now she’s facing backlash for minimizing the sexual abuse allegations against Michael Jackson.
Allegations against the late pop star made their way into headlines again after HBO’s recent documentary “Leaving Neverland” told the story of two men who say Jackson sexually abused them as children.
In an interview published Friday by The Times of London, Streisand initially said she believes the accusations of Jackson’s accusers, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, but then proceeded to trivialize them.
Streisand’s head-scratching comments began with a strange defense of Jackson’s “sexual needs.”
“His sexual needs were his sexual needs, coming from whatever childhood he has or whatever DNA he has,” she said.
She went on to minimize the sexual abuse allegedly endured by Robson and Safechuck, saying “it didn’t kill them.”
“You can say ‘molested’, but those children, as you heard say, they were thrilled to be there. They both married and they both have children, so it didn’t kill them.”
Streisand said she feels bad for the victims, but she also expressed sympathy for Jackson.
“I feel bad for the children. I feel bad for him. I blame, I guess, the parents, who would allow their children to sleep with him.”
Not surprisingly, Streisand received backlash on social media for her tone-deaf comments.

One detail that should be added to the criticism against Streisand is that she previously slammed Trump — who we have no reason to believe has done anything as objectionable as molest children — for being “indecent.”
“This is a dangerous time in this nation, this republic: a man who is corrupt and indecent and is assaulting our institutions,” Streisand said in reference to Trump during an interview with The Guardian. “It’s really, really frightening. And I just pray that people who are compassionate and respect the truth will come out and vote.”
Trump is “corrupt and indecent,” but Jackson, who she believes sexually abused children, was excused for gratifying his “sexual needs”?
