Conservatives Rejoice as Acosta Accidentally Confirms Trump's Taking Obama Legacy Apart

Share

Few conservatives will ever forget the day that former President Barack Obama arrogantly declared to America and a Republican-controlled Congress, “I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone.”

The implication behind this snide remark was that Obama would use his “pen and phone” to bypass congressional opposition and implement his rejected progressive agenda by way of executive actions and orders.

But what is done by one presidential pen can be undone by the next one, and that’s precisely what we’re seeing now, as President Donald Trump has systematically dismantled Obama’s “legacy” since taking office.

That brutal fact of life for liberals was accidentally confirmed on Tuesday by CNN’s vehemently outspoken Trump critic/White House correspondent Jim Acosta, much to the delight of conservatives everywhere.

Acosta tweeted, “Obama policies dumped by Trump: Iran deal, Paris Climate Agreement, Trans-Pacific Trade Deal, DACA, Obamacare Individual Mandate.”

Indeed, it’s somewhat poetic that just as Obama used his pen to implement these policies, Trump has done away with them in similar fashion.

The most recent addition to the list of “Obama policies dumped by Trump” is the terribly flawed Iran nuclear deal, which Trump thankfully put to rest on Tuesday to resounding cheers from everyone except Obama’s acolytes, globalist European leaders soaking Iran for every penny they could get and the Iranian mullahs themselves.

Does this Acosta tweet confirm that Trump is "winning?"

That mess of an agreement reached between Obama and the Iranian mullahs was so horrible and against the interests of America and our Middle Eastern allies that he never even presented it to Congress, as he knew it would be flatly rejected … even by many Democrats.

As for Acosta and his tweet, Twitchy noted that the replies were hilariously unkind to those fretting over how much “winning” Trump has achieved in such a short time.

Considering how concerned liberals suddenly are about supposed campaign finance violations, they better get right on that. Oh, wait, that only applies to Republicans. Never mind.

This was most assuredly not the reaction Acosta was hoping to receive when he tweeted out that list of Trump’s achievements, and while it isn’t necessarily nice to laugh at the displeasure and misfortune of others, we’ll make an exception in Jim’s case.
