Couple Goes Back to the Place They First Met for Wedding Photoshoot and It’s Adorably Quirky

Share

Unconventional wedding photo shoots are becoming more common. Gone are the days when you were expected to pose a certain way — now it’s all about bringing unique personalities into the mix.

Newlyweds Brandon and Jessica Brown have certainly taken a fun spin on their wedding photos. While it’s not unheard of for a couple to do a shoot where they first made eyes at one another, those locales usually doesn’t sell batteries in bulk.

It all started in 2017 when Jessica was shopping at Hawaii’s Waipahu Costco with her roommate. Mac and cheese was a menu possibility but Jessica couldn’t decide on her purchase, leaving her to turn to the one place she knew she could find answers.

The savvy social media gal took to her Instagram Story, hoping to get her followers to help her decide. Of course, she was unaware she was gaining a new, real-life follower in the background.

“I was saying how I wish it was good for you!” Jessica said, according to a Costco Facebook post. Brandon witnessed the dilemma and decided to step in.

“He basically encouraged me to get it, and I laughed,” Jessica shared, explaining that Brandon noted, “It’s good for you. It’s cheese — and it’s Costco.”

After that, Jessica was sold on more than just her easy meal purchase. The two exchanged numbers and went on their first date a few months later.

Then in July 2018 with the help of Lisa Rose Photography, Brandon planned a beautiful proposal and asked his mac and cheese lovin’ girlfriend to marry him.

“I knew Brandon first through photography and when he started dating Jess… I asked if they’d be interested in doing a shoot for me just to get some creative ideas out,” photographer Lisa Rankin told Liftable, a section of The Western Journal. “I helped Brandon plan a surprise proposal shoot.”

When the time came for the soon-to-be husband and wife to take their wedding photos, it was Lisa they turned to.

“It was actually a joke the 3 of us had since I did their first shoot back in 2018,” Lisa told Liftable. “Getting to know their story more and finding [out] they met at Costco, I said ‘If you ever get married we’ll shoot in the Mac & Cheese aisle.'”

And that’s just what they did. Dressed to the nines and ready for some good memories and bulk shopping, the bride and groom returned to the place they first met — and their amazing photographer captured every savory moment.

Now their photos have gone viral. “We did NOT expect it to blow up as much as it has. It’s a little surreal,” Lisa said. “This was something unique just for them, and as a photographer that’s what I strive for… bringing out the uniqueness of my clients. With them being friends of mine I knew how special this idea was to them.”

“The best part just has to be seeing how much people enjoy Brandon & Jessa’s story,” she added. “I love bringing smiles to people faces, it’s a great feeling.”

These photos feature all the “feel good” moments any Costco shopper could ask for. Congrats to the happy couple — may your lives be full of love and may your hearts be full of all the “cheesy” goodness not even a Costco membership can buy.
