Breaking: HAZMAT Teams Called to Susan Collins' Home After Holder Talks Violence
Republican Maine Sen. Susan Collins drew the ire of outraged leftists when she stood on the Senate floor earlier this month and delivered a lengthy, logical speech outlining why she would vote in favor of confirming Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Leftists were particularly furious because they had hoped that Collins, who is generally a rather moderate Republican, would succumb to pressure from Democrats and vote against Kavanaugh, whom the left attempted to politically assassinate with vague and uncorroborated allegations of sexual misconduct at the last moment when all other avenues to derail his nomination had failed.
The left initially seemed satisfied with raising millions of dollars to fund an eventual liberal challenger for Collins’ Senate seat, but it would appear waiting for that to transpire isn’t good enough for some, as a potentially deadly attempt on her life seems to have occurred Monday.
The Bangor Daily News reported that there was a massive police presence outside of Collins’ home Monday afternoon in an upscale neighborhood in the Maine city. Police were called to investigate what has been described as a “suspicious letter.”
“Members of our Criminal Investigation Division are currently on scene and the investigation is ongoing. The Bangor Fire Department and a HAZMAT team from Orono, Maine, are assisting the investigation,” said Sgt. Wade Betters, public information officer for the Bangor Police Department, in a release to the media, according to CNN.
Betters added that, as far as he knew, there was no danger posed to the public by the suspicious letter, CNN reported.
The Daily News noted that at least two individuals in hazardous materials suits were spotted entering the residence, and the street on which the home is located had been blocked off by police.
It is also worth noting that Collins was not at the residence when the letter was discovered. The senator’s spokeswoman, Annie Clark, told the Daily News, “Her husband is at the house now, and she’s on her way home.”
It is unclear if the “suspicious letter” was dropped off anonymously at the home, delivered via the postal service or had been brought to the residence through some other means, or if the letter was even still in the home.
Regardless, it must be pointed out that this incident comes just days after former Obama administration Attorney General Eric Holder had suggested liberals “kick” Republicans when “they go low,” a violent twist to former first lady Michelle Obama’s far more civil mantra “when they go low, we go high”
We must also mention failed Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s recent extortion threat toward voters, in which she suggested the current political incivility on the left would continue unabated until Democrats were voted back into power.
The incident at Collins’ home also came on the heels of “suspicious letters” containing an unidentified powdery substance being delivered to the White House and Pentagon within the past two weeks, as well as the campaign headquarters in Houston of Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.
Furthermore, this isn’t the first time that items have been sent to Collins in an attempt to intimidate or threaten her, again, simply because she tends to be moderate and is counted on by Democrats as a swing vote who sometimes goes toward the left on contentious conservative issues.
In September, Collins’ office received more than 3,000 coat hangars in the mail from abortion activists — meant to symbolize illicit back alley abortions that women would supposedly be reduced to utilizing if she supported Kavanaugh, according to a report from The Washington Times.
About the same time, Collins revealed that leftist activists had attempted to “bribe” her to vote against Kavanaugh by announcing a huge fundraising effort for any potential opponent who challenged her in 2020, but with the offer to disband it if Collins ended up opposing Kavanaugh.

On top of that, Collins has also been severely maligned by the left as a “traitor” to her own gender and smeared as a perpetuator and promoter of “rape culture” against women.
These are the depths to which the perpetually angry left has sunk, that they are now resorting to mailing potentially hazardous materials to the homes of senators they disagree with, as if threats of violence and other despicable acts of coercion and intimidation weren’t already enough.
But in reality, they are more than enough, and Americans across the ideological spectrum must stand up and say “No more” to this sort of behavior that comes dangerously close to being politically motivated domestic terrorism.
