Another Punk Tests Schwarzenegger's Guard, Ends Up Staring at the Business End of a Taser Gun

Share

Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has had an eventful past few weeks.

In May, the “Terminator” star was nearly taken down in a bizarre drop-kick attack by a crazed man in South Africa who flung his feet into the actor’s back.

Schwarzenegger’s bodyguards immediately took the punk down without further incident.

According to the U.K. Daily Mail, while Schwarzenegger was working out at the iconic Gold’s Gym in Venice, California, on Friday, the former California governor was targeted yet again — this time by someone who had their eyes on his expensive electric bike.

The would-be thief quickly realized he made a huge mistake after his failed attempt to snatch it.

After being alerted of the situation, one of Schwarzenegger’s bodyguards immediately drew his taser and pointed it at the man, keeping him at bay while the actor interrupted his workout to see what the commotion was about.

That’s when the actor himself emerged from the gym. Schwarzenegger immediately grabbed his bike and gave the man an intimidating glare — one that conveyed how close the punk was to having a really bad day.

The guard eventually holstered his weapon and let the man — who was sporting a red bandana covering his face — go on his way without further incident.

Do you think the would-be thief got off easy?

He caught a lucky break, to say the least.

According to Yahoo News, the Los Angeles Police Department didn’t respond to Gold’s Gym that day for any incidents matching what happened, making it unclear if the would-be thief was hit with any charges.

Schwarzenegger posed for a few selfies with fans and was then was escorted away by another bodyguard on a bicycle and an SUV with even more guards.

The luxury, camouflage-painted electric mountain bike is valued at a staggering $5,499 and is manufactured by Felt Outfitter.

While Schwarzenegger may have to deal with these kinds of incidents more frequently than the average person, this highlights just how important it is for average, everyday Americans to have the protection of the Second Amendment.

Most people don’t have the luxury of rolling with a squad of rough and tough bodyguards and most of the time police officers can only help after an incident has occurred.

Being able to protect yourself with a legal firearm — a right afforded to us by the U.S. Constitution — can mean the difference between life and death.

Even in this instance of potential theft, if that were an unarmed, frail woman, chances are good that she would no longer have her bike. A firearm would obviously change the equation, as they tend to equalize the playing field for the victim.
