Creepy Joe Can't Seem To Control Himself, Rubs Shoulders of 'Good-Looking' 10-Year-Old

Share

Prior to the formal launch of former Vice President Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign, Americans were reminded of how gaffe-prone “Creepy Uncle Joe” had a tendency to be rather hands-on in a familiar way with various women and young girls during political events and photo opportunities.

Some women came forward and said Biden’s touchy-feely tendencies made them uncomfortable — the expressions and reactions of countless women and girls in pictures and videos suggest likewise — and Biden issued a sort of apology statement, where he said he would respect women’s personal space in the future.

That appears to have lasted all of about a month. During a campaign event Tuesday in Houston, Texas, with the American Federation of Teachers — one of the biggest teacher’s unions in the country —  Biden did the exact same thing he has been criticized for and promised not to do.

As The Epoch Times pointed out, his actions have once again sparked controversy on social media.

Washington Post reporter Felicia Sonmez was among the first to take note of what happened.

“In a somewhat odd moment at tonight’s AFT town hall, Biden tells a 10-year-old girl, ‘I’ll bet you’re as bright as you are good-looking.’ He takes her over to the assembled reporters, then stands behind her and puts his hands on her shoulders while he’s talking,” she tweeted.

Even The New York Times reported that the incident “raised some eyebrows among online commentators.”

Should Joe Biden's touchy-feely tendencies disqualify his candidacy?

According to The New York Times, the young girl asked a question about political division in the country, after which Biden vowed to provide a fuller answer in writing before complimenting the pre-teen girl on her attractive looks.

“I’ll bet you’re as bright as you are good-looking,” Biden told the girl. “What’s your favorite subject?”

After learning her favorite subject was journalism, Biden joked, “Journalism, woah! Woah! I better be more circumspect in my answers. Those guys back there, look,” according to The Daily Caller.

He then took the girl by the hand and led her toward the assembled media near the back of the room, where he stood right behind her and placed his hands on her shoulders as he spoke for a moment to both the media and the crowd.

He also appeared to rub the girl’s shoulders at least once.

As The Epoch Times noted, Biden’s behavior with the young girl drew sharp responses on social media from all across the political spectrum, as both conservatives and liberals were momentarily united in dismissing the candidate’s actions as “creepy” and unacceptable.

For example, conservative writer Jim Hanson tweeted in response to Sonmez, “This is not odd for him. He does it all the time. It is a sickness.”

Meanwhile, insane leftist Rosie O’Donnell tweeted quite simply, “just #creepy.”

In April, Biden posted a brief video to social media in which he acknowledged the critiques against him and how his “gestures of support” toward women could be misconstrued as unacceptable in the current day and age.

“Social norms are changing. I understand that, and I’ve heard what these women are saying,” Biden tweeted at the time.

“Politics to me has always been about making connections, but I will be more mindful about respecting personal space in the future. That’s my responsibility and I will meet it.”

But it would appear that Biden has not received his own message and fails to fully comprehend how his “creepy” behavior is viewed by a significant portion of the country.

Imagine for a moment that a random Republican candidate with a lengthy political career and history of alleged inappropriate touching continued to act that way even after promising to no longer do so.

That candidate would quickly be dogged out of the race and largely shunned from polite society.

Whether that eventually happens with Biden remains to be seen, but he is likely treading on thin ice.
