FBI Revelation: Hillary Server Emails Found on Obama's Exec. Office Computers

Share

The 2016 election may be mercifully behind us, but one of its biggest scandals is still haunting Hillary Clinton.

Clinton’s use of a private, inadequately secured email server during her time as secretary of state rocked her campaign for president, and continued to reverberate into the current political landscape.

The controversial decision by then-FBI Director James Comey to allow a change of wording used to describe Clinton’s actions from “grossly negligent” to softer phrases like “extremely careless” may have kept the candidate out of prison, but it also sparked a power struggle within the Trump White House that is still impacting events today.

Now, yet another bombshell in the seemingly endless “Emailgate” scandal shows that former President Barack Obama himself was likely connected to the controversy, at least tangentially.

On Tuesday, it was revealed that the FBI found email records from Clinton’s infamous private server within the White House.

“[A] senior FBI official admitted, in writing and under oath, that the agency found Clinton email records in the Obama White House, specifically, the Executive Office of the President,” Judicial Watch reported.

That watchdog group has been steadily unraveling the Clinton email scandal using Freedom of Information Act requests and other investigative journalism techniques.

Interestingly, many observers believe that avoiding FOIA requests is one reason Clinton set up the insecure private server in the first place.

“The FBI also admitted nearly 49,000 Clinton server emails were reviewed as result of a search warrant for her material on the laptop of Anthony Weiner,” Judicial Watch continued.

Do you think Clinton should be held accountable for this scandal?

Weiner is, of course, the disgraced former congressman who was linked to Clinton’s staff through marriage and had a disturbing penchant for underage girls.

These findings suggest that the Clinton server was not compartmentalized, but that sensitive and perhaps classified information leaked between it to numerous sources — including President Obama’s office.

That scandal was called “one of the gravest modern offenses to government transparency” by U.S. District Court Judge Royce C. Lamberth, who previously ruled on the side of Judicial Watch in its attempts to uncover what happened.

The fact that the FBI was forced to search for missing Clinton emails on White House computers is also evidence that she purposely tried to hide the emails and lead investigators on a wild goose chase, according to the watchdog group.

“This astonishing confirmation, made under oath by the FBI, shows that the Obama FBI had to go to President Obama’s White House office to find emails that Hillary Clinton tried to destroy or hide from the American people,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said.

“No wonder Hillary Clinton has thus far skated – Barack Obama is implicated in her email scheme.”

It is still unclear exactly what that implication means and how deep the scandal could go. Obama himself has stayed fairly insulated from the scandal so far and has retreated from the media spotlight, but the 2020 election and its mudslinging could drag him back into the scandal.

The update is also relevant in light of the Mueller report, which found that President Trump did not collude with Russia to win the 2016 election. Yet the establishment media and the left treated Trump like a criminal from day one, calling for his impeachment repeatedly.

That hypocrisy of ignoring shocking scheming and negligence on the part of Clinton, which looks more and more like an Obama administration-wide scandal, could still come back to bite Democrats.

Powerful lawbreakers must be brought to justice, even if their last name is Clinton.

If the evidence continues to show that she flouted the law, there is still time for the American people to demand answers.

CORRECTION, May 4, 2019: As originally published, this article implied that James Comey had himself change the wording in the now-infamous memo. In reality, he approved the wording changes recommended by Peter Strzok.

We have therefore clarified the wording in our article, and we apologize for any confusion we may have caused.
