Jim Carrey's Trump Derangement Syndrome in Full Effect with Latest Disturbing Painting on Mueller Report

Share

I never thought we would get to the point where Jim Carrey was considered either a) an artist or b) a political pundit.

As it turns out, Ace Ventura is doing both at the same time, and neither very well. Those who’ve been keeping up with the actor — and I know that’s not all of you, considering he was last relevant more than a decade ago — know that he has taken up advocating for socialism and painting disturbing portraits of Republicans that evince little taste or talent.

The Mueller report is out, which means yet more retch-worthy artwork from Carrey. Not only is his most recent portrait of Donald Trump disgusting, the artist statement is also wrong.

The “Mona Lisa” took da Vinci roughly four years to paint. This homage to the 1973 film “The Exorcist” took one day. Just saying:

Carrey, of course, was referencing the part in the Mueller report where Trump was reacting to Mueller being appointed in the first place: “Oh my God. This is terrible. This is the end of my Presidency. I’m f—–,” Trump said. “Everyone tells me if you get one of these independent counsels, it ruins your presidency. It takes years and years and I won’t be able to do anything.”

Of more interest might be Carrey’s tweet: “Its not illegal for Trump’s head to spin around while he vomits copious amounts of green bile either, but he’s definitely not fit to be President, he’s definitely not exonerated and Barr definitely couldn’t go any lower.”

Do you think Jim Carrey went too far?

On the four things Carrey mentions here: a) I don’t think so, but it’s physically impossible outside of William Friedkin movies, b) yes, we know that’s your opinion, c) in terms of no “exoneration,” good luck on finding something impeachable, especially with a total lack of collusion and d) whatever.

Oh, and his subject matter wasn’t just limited to President Trump in the wake of the Mueller report, either. This was his take on William Barr, which looked a bit like something out of “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.”

Get the pun? That Jim Carrey, what a card.

The diagnosis of Trump Derangement Syndrome gets made a lot, and I understand nobody believed Carrey was on an even keel to begin with. That being said, is this the sign of a rational person?

Carrey is arguably better-known these days for these, well — whatever you want to call them — than for actual acting or comedy. Which, unless I’m mistaken, is what he’s generally paid to do.

In fact, his Twitter page — “The ONLY official social media account for Actor Jim Carrey!” it brags — comprises almost entirely these portraits. These include President Trump doing an “endzone dance” after the Mueller report synopsis was released wearing a uniform with the number “666,” a picture of the president ice-skating naked with a frozen man saying, “America is filled with pigs who skate / those who want justice must sit and wait” and a portrayal of Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini and his mistress hanging after they were executed in the final days of World War II, among other grotesques.

After the Barr synopsis, however, he did post this self-portrait:

If Carrey continues to harbor febrile dreams in which President Trump is John Gotti and his “goose will be slow-cooked,” I’d come up with a few more recipes for crow. After all, much like after Thanksgiving, he’s going to have plenty of leftovers. Perhaps an open-faced crow sandwich?
