Ilhan Omar Is Raking in Massive Amounts of Cash in Wake of Controversial Statements

Share

Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar is surging in popularity and raking in massive donations after her sickening anti-Semitic comments.

After Omar began receiving backlash for her bizarre anti-Semitic comments about “hook-nosed Jews,” donors rushed to throw their money at her.

In particular, Omar criticized Israel and played into the “Jewish money/lobby” stereotype.

Omar tweeted, “It’s all about the Benjamin baby,” a reference to $100 bills, in response to the pro-Israel stance of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.

Omar’s comments were so nauseating that the Democrat establishment scrambled to condemn her, but often neglected to mention Omar by name or her specific remarks.

But it looks like Omar was on to something when she said it’s all about the “Benjamins,” because she received thousands of “Benjamins” for her comments.

“Omar raised $832,000 in the first quarter, according to her FEC report — among the best totals posted by any House Democrat,” Politico reported.

Is the support for Ilhan Omar disturbing?

It now makes sense why Omar made her recent sickening comments about the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks: Omar’s extremist rhetoric gets her donations.

Omar belittled the devastating terrorist attacks at a fundraising event for CAIR, a terror-linked organization.

“Some people did something,” Omar said when describing 9/11.

The unwavering support for Omar speaks volumes about her donors and constituents.

After all, Omar’s solidly blue district in Minneapolis is the terrorist recruitment capital of the United States, according to FBI statistics.

“More men and boys from a Somali American community in Minneapolis have joined – or attempted to join – a foreign terrorist organization over the last 12 years than any other jurisdiction in the country,” Fox News reported.

Omar pretends that her repeated appalling comments are taken out of context or not meant to offend anybody, but look at the support her comments have brought about.

It’s obvious that a portion of Omar supporters are anti-American radicals.

Being a successful lawmaker in the United States has never been easier: Simply make abhorrent, anti-American comments, and the far-left will give you massive financial support.
