Antifa Allegedly Sends Chilling Threat After Vandalizing GOP Headquarters, They Need To Be Stopped

Share

After an incident which saw the building of the Manhattan Republican Party vandalized, the group behind it sent a chilling message: “Our attack is merely a beginning.”

The Daily Caller reported that the attack targeted the Metropolitan Republican Club on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The building holds the Manhattan Republican Party as well as the city’s regional office for the New York Republican Party.

Anarchist symbols were painted on the doors and bricks thrown through the windows.

A note left by the organization seemed to indicate that an invitation given to conservative personality Gavin McInnes — founder of the Proud Boys and referred to in the missive as a “hipster fascist clown” — was the impetus behind the vandalism.

“Tonight, we put the Republican Party on notice, in defiance to the policy of mass misery they have championed.”

“The U.S. government has established concentration camps around the country for Latino people, shamelessly murdering black people, and continues its war machine that has slaughtered Muslim people with impunity for decades,” the note read.

“The so-called ‘Land of the Free’ leads the world in incarceration rates per capita, all the while profiteering in the new plantation within the prison walls.”

“While these atrocities persist unabated the Metropolitan Republican Club chose to invite a hipster fascist clown to dance for them, content to revel in their treachery against humanity. The Republican Party joined by their spineless partners in crime, the Democrats institute a policy of domestic and foreign terror felt the world over.”

Do you think it's time for law enforcement to take action on mob intimidation against conservatives?

“Our attack is merely a beginning,” the group warned.

“We are not passive, we are not civil, and we will not apologize. Those of good conscience and clear mind know this state of oppression cannot remain. The US fascist political system is one of the most savage institutions in history and we will combat it relentlessly until all are free of American barbarism.”

A reporter from New York’s WINS-AM said the NYPD is currently investigating the incident.

The attack came one day before McInnes was scheduled to speak at the club. McInnes, one of the founders of Vice Media, is considered a controversial figure both inside and outside the conservative movement. Part of this controversy stems from the Proud Boys, a fraternal organization which has faced accusations of connections to the alt-right. For his part, McInnes has claimed the group is simply about saying that the “West is best” and standing up for “Western values.”

In a statement released via Twitter on Friday, the Metropolitan Republican Club claimed that the attack was related to an antifa group and connected it to a larger incivility against Republicans and conservatives across the country.

“Last night the Metropolitan Republican Club was vandalized by the leftist hate group Antifa, who also left a note promising ‘this is just the beginning’ and threatening more violence,” the Met Club said.

“Republicans are a minority party in NYC by a wide margin, and while most city residents are respectful of our activities, our grassroots actions are often met with hostility. Last night’s shameful attack by Antifa cowards represents a tragic new low.”

“Sadly this is only the most recent example of leftist violence and aggression against the Conservative Movement,” the statement added.

“But rest assured that we will not be intimidated by violence, threats, or hate speech. We will continue to fight for freedom of speech and liberty here in New York City and all across this great nation.”

While there didn’t seem to be any antifa affiliation mentioned in the note, there was a heavy antifa-like presence outside of McInnes’ speech Friday.

The New York Daily News reported that 80 protesters showed up at the Met Club Friday night, chanting boilerplate slogans like “No racists, no KKK, no fascist USA.”

One of the protesters, 29-year-old Kelly Murphy of Brooklyn, said that what we should really be focusing on is the violence from McInnes — even though he’s never thrown bricks through the windows of those he’s disagreed with and then told them the “attack is merely a beginning.”

“There’s no way that what they did could have paralleled Gavin McInnes’ calls for violence,” Murphy said of the vandalism and the threats levied against the Met Club.

These are the same people, mind you, who don’t want the appellation “mob” attached to them. One wonders what they’d have us call them instead.
