Video: Punk Tries to Rob Wrong Barber, Lucky to Be Alive After Savage Beating

Share

This is the kind of gun control that really works.

An attempted armed robbery in a barber shop in Peru ended very badly for a gun-wielding thug who thought he had the shop staff and customers at his mercy.

But it turned out to be exactly the opposite.

According to a video uploaded to LiveLeak this week, the incident took place in Lima, the Peruvian capital.

The scene starts out quietly enough, in the manner of barbershops the world over. A customer sits in a chair getting a haircut, while the men talk idly.

But things quickly change when a man enters the store with a gun. One barber disappears quickly, but the others are ordered to their knees as the criminal goes to them separately demanding they empty their pockets.

One who apparently doesn’t comply quickly enough is struck several times on the head with the gunman’s pistol.

Things start to change though when that victim is forced to get a backpack from a spot in the shop – apparently after telling the gunman his money was inside it.

While the gunman’s attention was distracted, a barber made his move for the weapon. That’s when real justice started coming down, in the form of savage kicks by the criminal’s erstwhile victims.

Do videos like this make you glad Americans can own guns?

Other men who didn’t appear to be involved in the robbery also join in. No one likes a criminal, and a thug who uses a gun to try to commit a robbery deserves everything he gets. This punk is lucky to be alive.

The video ends before authorities arrive, so the conclusion of the incident is unknown, but it’s safe to say it didn’t end quite the way this barber shop bully intended.

It’s video evidence like this that destroys the arguments of gun control groups in the United States that want to take away the American citizen’s constitutional right to bear arms completely.

It’s true that the criminal’s victims managed to overcome him without resorting to weapons of their own, but it takes a great deal of courage and luck to get a weapon out of the hands of a competent criminal and administer some private justice.

When the potential victims can bear their own weapons, things can turn out differently for the gunman. In fact, even the possibility that victims might be armed has to act as a deterrent to some would-be criminals.

The video shows that all it really takes is one guy with the courage to stand up to a gunman, and the intelligence to make his move carefully, to take down a gunman in the middle of a crime.

Imagine if that good guy had a gun, too. This robbery would never have gotten off the ground.
