Pelosi's Racism Leaks Out as She Makes Racist Comment Fellow Senator Calls "Offensive"
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi might think that she can do no wrong, but we know better.
In fact, recent racist comments she made at a news conference not only ticked off Republicans, but Democrats she just lumped into her attack.
She really, truly makes no sense.
“The five white guys I call them, you know,” Pelosi said, referring to a group of five bipartisan officials working to salvage the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, including House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer, who is of course a Democrat.
“Are they going to open a hamburger stand next or what?” she asked, referring to the Five Guys burger chain.
In addition to Hoyer, the politicians involved include Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn, a Republican, Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin, a Democrat, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, a Republican, and White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, according to Politico.
The funny thing is — trying to salvage DACA, even negotiating on it at all is a super left-of-the-aisle thing to do, in the eyes of many Republicans. There is absolutely no reason for her to target these lawmakers.
Take a look at the video below:
Hoyer is rightfully upset, calling the comment “offensive,” which is a step above what it really is, which is just “racist,” plain and simple.
“That comment is offensive. I am committed to ensuring DREAMers are protected and I will welcome everyone to the table who wants to get this done,” Hoyer told Politico.
Pelosi, look at it this way, if you would please:
Imagine saying what you said, but instead referring to black people. If you’d rather, imagine being a different race and saying that about white people — the results are the same.
It’s racist, plain and simple, and the sooner Pelosi is out of our collective hair, the better a Congress we will have.
