Chip Gaines pulled off a playful Valentine’s Day stunt this year, declaring his love for his wife, Joanna Gaines, in a Texas-sized way.
Fans of Chip and Joanna Gaines love laughing along with the couple’s playful, jesting interactions.
Chip is known for being goofy and lighthearted, and Joanna, self-described as “the serious, boring one,” adores her husband’s personality.
They don’t take themselves too seriously, and that’s what fans love.
This year, Chip Gains decided to temporarily vandalize one of his own silos at Magnolia Market, the Gaines’ infamous shopping center in their hometown of Waco, Texas.
Written in enormous green letters was a Valentine’s Day message for his bride, reading, “Chip Hearts Jo.”
Joanna Gaines posted a photo of the silo to Instagram with the caption, “That’s big love, @chipgaines.”
According to People, Chip Gaines thoughtfully used an adhesive, removable sticker to display the message, not spray paint.
He proudly chose one of his favorite colors for the stunt: John Deere green.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, sweet girl!! #inJohnDeereGreen,” Chip Gaines captioned his own Instagram photo.
Fans have loved watching the Gaines family expand over the years, both professionally and personally.
Chip and Joanna Gaines welcomed their youngest son, Crew, in the summer of 2018.
In between raising five kids, managing a farm and their wildly successful business endeavors, they always seem to prioritize their relationship with one another.
Their marriage hasn’t always been easy, but they have persevered.
“Match made in heaven is not the term you would use to describe us,” Joanna Gaines told People in a 2016 interview. “But when we mixed our personalities together, it created a spark.”
“Early on we had our fair share of fights and figuring out where the boundaries were,” she said. “He’s good at the big picture, and he’s good at risk. I like the details.”
