Breaking News: Carrie Underwood Gives Birth To Baby Number 2
Country singer Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher had some joyous news to share with fans.
Underwood, who was pregnant with her second child, revealed that their bundle of joy has made his entrance into the world!
The happy couple gave birth to their second child – a boy named Jacob – in the early morning hours on Monday. Jacob joins older brother Isaiah in the Fisher family.
Underwood took to social media to announce the news to fans, sharing a series of family photos and with her post.
“Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on Monday…his mom, dad and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle!” she wrote.
“Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good…”
Underwood first revealed her pregnancy in August to fans while announcing her Cry Pretty 360 Tour, which will kick off in May 2019.
“You might be wondering or asking, ‘Carrie, why is your tour starting in May?'” she said. “Well…yay! Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding a little fish to our pond,” Underwood said in an Instagram video that included a set of balloons that spelled out the word B-A-B-Y.
“This has been a dream come true with the album and baby news and all that stuff,” Underwood continued.
While Underwood had joyful news to share with her fans on Monday, the country music superstar and her family have faced challenges along the way.
A month after the pregnancy announcement, she told her fans the heartbreaking news that she had had three miscarriages before she became pregnant with Jacob.
Underwood told CBS Sunday Morning that her song ‘Cry Pretty’ “speaks to a lot of things that have happened in this past year.”
Fans first discovered that Underwood’s newest addition would be a baby boy at the 52nd Annual CMA Awards, which she co-hosted with Brad Paisley.
Following the news, Underwood shared with her fans a photo of Isaiah and her baby bump together on Christmas.
“I’m thanking the Lord tonight for His Son while I cuddle with mine,” she wrote in her post.
“Watching Christmas movies with him while he uses my big belly as a pillow. Sweet ending to another great Christmas. Merry Christmas to all of you, from my family to yours!”
Congratulations to the Fisher family on their new bundle of joy! Welcome to the world Jacob!
