Mom Breaks Down in Tears When Dentist Reveals Her Brand New Smile, Free of Charge

Share

Smiles speak a universal language. No matter who you are or where you’re from, a smile shows kindness, love and friendship.

First impressions are everything, but for someone with broken or rotting teeth, it can be difficult to make a good one when you feel the need to hide your smile.

One dentist from Texas appears to have a passion for making good smiles a reality for everyone. Even for folks who can’t afford expensive procedures.

In 2017, Dr. Kenny Wilstead of Marshall Family Dental decided he wasn’t going to let a mom of five go back to college unless she could be her very best self.

According to a video posted by Dr. Wilstead on Facebook, it was April’s friend who contacted him about getting her teeth fixed.

The friend wanted to give April a “Christmas makeover,” so she told her that they were headed out for some “girl time.”

Little did the busy mom know she was about to get a brand new set of teeth — free of charge. Watch her sweet reaction when she looks in the mirror for the first time after the procedure.

Her smile speaks a thousand words. Dr. Wilstead is amazing, simply wanting to reach out and do this kind act of service for another.

This isn’t the only time the dentist has done something like this, though. In Sept. 2018 he fixed one dad’s smile without him even knowing what was happening.

Dillon Moore was embarrassed to show his teeth, but according to a Facebook post, Wilstead gave the man a smile makeover instead of just extracting a single tooth as planned.

Still, yet another story of a happy and hopeful smile is thanks to Dr. Wilstead’s kind heart. When Kyleigha Scott, a victim of domestic abuse, went to see the dentist, he noticed her damaged smile.

The woman was going to wait to have her teeth fixed until she had the money, but Wilstead had other plans.

He fixed her front tooth for free, reversing an injury from the abuse she had survived with a single act of kindness.

“A moment I will cherish forever,” Wilstead wrote in his Facebook caption. What a guy! These smiles are beautiful and so is this dentist’s heart.

We need more people like this kind and compassionate doctor in the world. His selfless acts are helping others show their joy inside and out.
