UPS Driver Never Wanted Dog, But Once Dog Hopped Into Truck It Refused To Leave
They say that dogs tend to resemble their owners. From their facial expressions to their personalities, dogs have a special connection to those that love them.
It often seems that dogs are destined to be with their owners, especially when they turn out to be a perfect pair.
There are many ways to find a dog, from buying one from a breeder to adopting one from a shelter.
And yet, some dogs find their owners instead of the other way around. Jason Coronado experienced this when a shelter dog — a pitbull-terrier mix — literally hopped up into his life.
According to WKBW News, Coronado, a UPS driver, was driving his UPS truck on Oct. 5 when the dog named Ernie approached the truck from the outside. Coronado called him into the truck, and Ernie hopped right in.
“Call him up to the truck and he pretty much just hopped up in, and I was like okay,” Coronado said.
However, instead of just paying a visit, Ernie refused to leave his side.
“He hopped up and just sat there and did not want to leave.”
But even after Coronado convinced Ernie to hop out of his truck, Coronado began to consider adopting the pooch.
“I wanted him to have a good home,” Coronado said.
He talked with his family about bringing Ernie home, and on Nov. 25, they decided to adopt the sweet pup from Buffalo City Animal Shelter.
After just two days, Ernie has already become their dream dog. He follows Coronado around the house, even though he hasn’t had any training.
“He likes to sleep and lounge and he likes to eat treats and he’s just a big lap dog,” Coronado said.
This adorable dog has already become their best friend in just a few days! What a wonderful blessing for this family and this pup. Sometimes unexpected blessings really do hop right into our lives.
