Little Girl Overjoyed When God Heals Her After She Says a Prayer

Share

The staff of The Western Journal is working a reduced schedule over Easter weekend to allow our employees the opportunity for rest and worship with their families if they so choose. We are re-publishing this article as a service to our readers, who reacted strongly to it when it first ran.

Who among us hasn’t experienced some sort of hardship in life? Occasionally the issue is physical, sometimes financial, and periodically it also involves loved ones.

In tough times like these, it’s easy to feel isolated and overwhelmed. Often, well-meaning acquaintances can say things that discourage our hearts and minds.

It’s also pretty tempting to drift into “what if” patterns. We toss and turn at night, asking ourselves troubling questions like, “What if I can’t overcome this?”

Those who follow scripture are probably familiar with a particular verse that addresses this issue. John 16:33 reminds us, “In this world you will have trouble.”

It’s a brief passage, but it prepares us for life’s challenges that inevitably come our way. And the next part of the verse is especially powerful.

Jesus reminds his followers to “take heart” and maintain an unfailing sense of hope. “I have overcome the world,” he says, speaking as the son of God.

Once children can read, parents frequently begin introducing them to these uplifting biblical excerpts. But even when kids are still pre-schoolers, Mom and Dad often start teaching them to pray.

Have you had a prayer answered recently?

Maybe that’s why one particular video on Rumble is resonating with multiple viewers.

Essentially, the video shows a little girl learning about the power of prayer firsthand. It seems this sweet kiddo wasn’t feeling well, so she prayed to God for healing.

Not all prayers are answered, of course. More specifically, pastors and ministers gently remind us that not all prayers are answered in precisely the way we’re expecting.

But in this case, it appears the toddler got exactly what she was asking for. And she responded with an off-the-charts level of elation and gratitude. “I’m happy with joy,” she repeatedly shouted, “thank you, God!”

“What did you do?” asked a male voice off-camera, presumably a parental figure.

“I prayed to God, and He made me feel better,” proclaimed the ecstatic youngster, prancing around in her cute pink pajamas.

She proceeded to demonstrate her actual prayer, adding that it was entirely successful. “And so what do you say?” inquired the male voice.

Adorably, the little girl attempted to holler “Hallelujah” several times. Of course, she got a few letters switched around — but the delighted sentiment was certainly all there.

Focus on the Family reminds us that prayer can be a powerful option for several reasons. They explain that God specifically asks us to pray, and that prayer keeps us humble and connected to our faith.

They also add that prayer can keep our resolve strong and our spirits resilient. And as the overjoyed girl in the pink pajamas might tell you, prayer can often succeed when other means fail.
