Watch as They Save Hawk That Became Lodged in Grille of Car
There’s nothing like driving the open road unless, of course, you happen to hit something along the way.
While we’ve all come across our share of road obstructions, one woman was shocked to find that she had hit a hawk, according to a video by The Dodo.
Going a stunning 55 mph, the hawk got his beak lodged inside the grille of her car and was stuck with no escape.
Trying not to hurt the hawk, the woman worked to see if she could get him free with no avail.
A man stopped to help her and together the pair worked to help free the hawk from the hold of the grille.

Pulling ever so gently, the man just couldn’t get the majestic bird free. He grabbed a tool for some assistance, but the hawk’s beak was still stuck.
The woman popped the hood of her car, hoping that this would provide a better view of what the hawk was hung up on.
With the tool in hand and a gentle touch, the man was finally able to free the hawk but held his wings until they could get him to safety.
“Holy cow, he’s beautiful,” the woman said.
The man and woman decided that a nearby field would be the best place to release the hawk, but they were surprised by what happened next.
The hawk didn’t fly away in panic as they anticipated. Instead, he sat a moment and let the man pet him — almost as if to calm him down from the sticky situation he was just in.
“Come on little man, you just had a shock,” the woman encouraged the hawk.
With a little nudge from the man, the hawk finally took flight. This lucky hawk didn’t seem to have a scratch on him.
These kind rescuers did their part to make sure that this beautiful hawk could live another day and fly high above the dangers of car grilles.
