Mom Tricks Little Girl Into Thinking She's Adopting Guinea Pig, Puppy Comes Around Corner
I will never forget about the time my parents surprised me with a puppy. It was December and I had been begging my parents for months to get a puppy for Christmas.
On Christmas Eve my aunt and uncle took me to the movies and when we came back, there was a tiny golden retriever wagging its tail in the backyard.
I was so excited to finally have a fur baby of my own and there are many pictures of me holding my puppy, who I named Sunny, in my arms.
I can’t even imagine what I would have done if someone in my family had been allergic to dogs, making it impossible for me to ever own one.
One little girl, however, had to face that reality, and her mom promised to get her a guinea pig instead.
What this little girl didn’t know is that her parents had found an opportunity to purchase a hypoallergenic dog and decided to surprise her with it at the pet store.
The video opens on her wandering around the pet store, looking at cute accessories for her guinea pig.
A woman comes in carrying a bright pink cage, and the little girl asks, “what is it?” Her mom responds, “it’s the cage for your guinea pig.”
She looks inside the cage and gasps, “You’re joking!”
Inside was a tiny puppy that was barely bigger than her hands. The little girl covered her face with her hands and begins to sob.
She then sat on the floor, collapsing in tears, as the woman pulled her puppy — with a purple bow around it — out of the cage.
Its tiny tale began to wag as the little girl pulled her into her arms as she continued to cry. The puppy snuggled down into her owner’s arms, happy as can be.
“Thank you,” the girl cried. “I can’t breathe. This is a dream or something.”
Luckily for her, it wasn’t a dream. She got to take home the puppy she always wanted.
