Woman Sings To God for a Miracle at Cancer Patient's Bedside in Hospital
Cancer is hard. Not only is your body fighting off aggressive, mutant cells but there is also an extremely difficult emotional toll.
It can be easy to lose hope, but that’s when your support system like friends, family, or faith come into play.
For one woman fighting cancer, Jamina Johnson came in at the right time to deliver a moment of hope.
Mallorie Bush Cochran started chemotherapy during the last week of April. At that time, she was 22 weeks pregnant. Her local community has been rallying around her in support and prayer.
A post to Facebook read, “Mallorie is a strong woman and we are believing for a complete healing in her body. She WILL testify of this miracle with her sweet baby. Please help me pray!!”
A benefit dinner has even been planned to help offset the costs of her treatment. They are also accepting donations
As she was in the hospital for her treatment Johnson came to visit her. Walter Bush captured the beautiful moment that followed.
Johnson began singing the gospel song, “You are Great.”
We don’t know what conversation prompted the song, but Cochran obviously needed the sweet reminder.
“God, you are great. You do miracles so great. There is no one else like you,” the nurse sang as she held Cochran’s hand.
The two women worshiped and praised God together in the middle of the hospital room.
The caption read, “Well we done had ‘church’ today!!”
“Thank you so much Ms. Jamina for coming by and singing and praying into Mallorie!!❤❤”
This simple act of love and compassion helped bring a little hope to an otherwise heavy day.
