No One Will Help Woman Stranded in Snow, Until Stranger Appears out of Nowhere

Share

We all have those days. Nothing seems to be going right and we feel like throwing in the towel.

One woman, Lori Clark of Ypsilanti, Michigan, found herself in that same place after a handful of tough days.

On top of the mess, she found herself stuck in a gas station parking lot, trapped by snow.

Her rear-wheel drive Mustang does not do well in weather as such. “I was at my wits end and I just wanted to sit in my car and give up,” Clark said.

Clark kept her eyes peeled for someone that would come along and save her from the pit she had found herself in. But not one person bothered to stop and help.

“People passed me by as if I was in their way,” Clark explained. Would anyone come to her rescue?

It was then that what seemed like out of nowhere a stranger appeared to her aid. Blair Emerson, a local plumber relunctant to give his name, knew Clark was not in a safe situation.

He grabbed a shovel from his truck, began digging, and helped Clark out from her car. “He was just like a knight in shining armor,” Clark recalled.

But the kindness of Emerson didn’t end there. He and Clark went to the store to pick up nine bags of kitty litter.

Clark was about to grab the cash from her purse when she was told that the good Samaritan had already paid for it all.

After neatly arranging the kitty litter bags into Clark’s car to balance the weight, Emerson revealed the reason why he came to her rescue.

“He says, ‘When you do good things, it’ll come around,’ and I started crying,” said Clark. Emerson, in an attempt to make sure she got to her destination safely, followed Clark on the road until she gave a honk and a wave of safety.

In a thank you to her good Samaritan, Clark recalled how she cried the entire drive home because of Emerson’s act of kindness.

“Words aren’t enough to say, I just want to say ‘thank you’ … I was so glad that you looked out because I got home safely because of you,” Clark said.

As for Emerson, the hero of a stranger, he recalled how he felt about the situation, a moment that brought two strangers together because of the simplicity of kindness.

“It’s beautiful, as it should be.”
