Waitress Moved to Tears When She Learns Why Customers Were Giving Her Such Generous Tips

Share

Jessica Reboredo’s coworkers and family quickly rallied around her. A hardworking waitress at Chili’s and mother of four beautiful children, Jessica is the type of woman who remains so strong out of love for her friends and family, she naturally evokes the same loving response from others.

People want to know the woman whose main m.o. is to “keep your head high and keep smiling” throughout every struggle she encounters.

At the same time, Jessica was pregnant with her fourth child, she also learned her then 24-year-old husband was sick with testicular cancer.

The cancer quickly spread to his stomach and then to his lungs. She thought she and her family were alone in this fight to bring daddy home.

But her second-grade teacher, who Jessica had stayed in contact with, heard of her story and decided to offer this inspiring woman some help.

Kimberly reached out to the Fox5 Surprise Squad with Jessica’s story and waited to see if and how they might respond.

Moved, the Surprise Squad responded by supplying restaurant goers with large tips for Jessica. First, a woman gave her $200, and then a man gave her $300, and next, a man laid out $1000 for her, bringing her to tears.

If all of this wasn’t enough for her, the Surprise Squad entered Chili’s with a large pink box and presented it to her. Inside was a gift of $10,000 to ease Jessica’s struggle.

In tears, she admitted she was doing everything she could to get by and had just spent the last night in her car. The deluge of blessings didn’t stop there.

They had already made hotel accommodations for her and were going to supply her with a car to easily visit her husband during his cancer treatments.

Jessica hugged the news team, thanking them over and over again. “You guys are my angels,” she said.

Sadly, Jessica’s husband Robert lost his life to the fast-spreading cancer at the age of 25 in August of 2016. Through this heartache, the kindness and generosity of faithful friends and strangers have been an ongoing source of encouragement for Jessica and her four little ones.
