Watch: Steph Curry Fails in Epic Fashion, Utterly Embarrassed in Span of 10 Seconds

Basketball usually looks so easy for Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry. He’s made a career out of embarrassing opponents with his jumper, handles or passing ability.

But against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday, Curry just flat-out embarrassed himself with a brutal 10-second sequence.

With about 2:20 left in the third quarter, Curry intercepted a pass to nowhere by LA’s Kyle Kuzma.

It was one of those rare occasions in the NBA where you have nothing between you and the hoop except for the laminate floor.

In such situations, you might have seen a Vince Carter or LeBron James really wind up and throw one down with authority.

Curry looked like he was getting ready to do his best LeBron impression in LeBron’s own house — but it wasn’t to be.

Curry slipped on the floor as he went up for what looked to be a dunk and fell flat on his back. You can hear a gasp from the Staples Center crowd, followed by cheers and laughter.

The Warriors’ Andre Iguodala picked up the loose ball and gave it back to Curry where he’s more comfortable, outside the 3-point line. Iguodala even screened away defenders to give Curry a wide-open look and a chance to quiet the crowd.

But the clearly rattled Curry made matters worse by chucking up an airball, much to the continued delight of the LA crowd.

Do you think the Warriors will win another championship this year?

After the game, Curry had a laugh at his own expense, describing the “back-to-back hilarious plays.”

“It happens to the best of us,” he said. “You’re like a kid walking into a candy store with the whole half-court empty.”

“I was going to try something real nice that I haven’t tried before, but the Lord wouldn’t let me do it,” Curry joked.

Curry and the Warriors got the last laugh as they went on to win 130-111. Curry had only 11 points on 3-for-12 shooting, including 2-for-10 from 3, but he did have 12 assists.

Klay Thompson led the Warriors with 44 points, including 10 3-pointers, which tied an NBA record. Kevin Durant added 20 points.
