Eagles give Super Bowl ring to player who spent 11 seasons with team before aneurysm
The breakthrough season for Carson Wentz.

And, of course, the incredible story of Nick Foles and his Super Bowl-winning masterpiece over the favored New England Patriots.
Yes, the Philadelphia Eagles’ ride was truly magical.
So maybe it’s only fitting that the champs give a Super Bowl ring to, well, a magician.
Jon Dorenbos spent 11 seasons as Philly’s long snapper before being traded to New Orleans before last season.
To make matters worse, Dorenbos discovered he needed heart surgery in September and retired before playing a game with the Saints.
Since Dorenbos was diagnosed with an aortic aneurysm — and could have died by playing — the trade ended up being a good thing.
Still, Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie wanted to recognize his longtime player for his efforts and gave him a championship ring Thursday.

“Holy cow!” Dorenbos said. “This thing is huge.”
As it turns out, the former Eagle might have been able to make a ring appear out of thin air.
You see, Dorenbos is also a magician.
In 2016, he appeared on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” and finished in third place.
He was clearly shocked by the Eagles’ generosity, saying of his ring, “I don’t want to touch it!”
No, Dorenbos didn’t suit up for the champs, but it’s only fitting that in a season of magic, the magician gets a ring too.
