Watch: MLB's Bradley Zimmer channels Superman with flying catch

It’s a bird, it’s a plane … no, it’s Indians center fielder Bradley Zimmer making another spectacular catch.

Sunday against the Twins at Target Field in Minneapolis, Zimmer literally flew through the air to catch Twins hitter Ryan LaMarre’s drive to deep left-center field.

Zimmer leapt, fully extended his body and snagged the ball at the warning track.

Robbing opposing players of extra-base hits has become somewhat of a habit for the 25-year-old, who burst onto the scene last year as one of the best defensive center fielders in the American League.

MLB’s Statcast measured Zimmer’s sprint speed on Sunday’s play at 28.2 feet per second. He covered 76 feet in 4.7 seconds.

Zimmer isn’t just known for his ability to chase down fly balls. He also has a cannon for an arm.

Was this the catch of the year?

Last year, he gunned down the Twins’ Max Kepler at home with a 101.5-mph throw.

Zimmer’s catch aside, the day belonged to the Twins’ Eddie Rosario, who hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth to give Minnesota the 7-5 win.

Rosario hit three home runs and had four RBIs on the day. He now has 13 homers this season.

The Tribe got two home runs from Edwin Encarnacion, who has 16 on the year.

After winning the opening game of the four-game set on Thursday, the Indians lost three straight to the Twins over the weekend.

The Indians fell to 30-28, but hold a two-and-a-half-game lead over the Tigers. The Twins are three-and-a-half back at 25-30.
